As soon a Sheldon had gotten off the plane he had called a cab and told them to take him straight to Elias. He didn’t even remember most of the ride and soon he was out of the cab, handing the driver the money and walking towards the dorms. Sheldon really hoped that Rapunzel was in her room, because having to call he and ask where she was would definitely ruin the surprise. Sheldon had told her that he had to head home early to help his dad with some moving stuff. After Sheldon had left for school, his dad had decided to get a smaller apartment, closer to his work and had been in the process of moving. Sheldon went to help so he could bring Rapunzel down sooner. Things had gone slower than expected and Sheldon had to stay in Cali a little longer. He’d called Rapunzel to let her know but he wasn’t sure if she got his message. Arriving at her door, Sheldon knocked.  

Sheldon: Stood at the door of Rapunzel's building. He had been here for almost a full five minutes, tying to make himself walk through the door. Something kept him frozen here. If he walked in he would either leave with our without the girl he loved, and if he was honest with himself he had no idea which would happen. But he couldn't just leave. That would tell Rapunzel that he didn't want to be with her any more and that was not true at all, So there he was, stuck. Sucking in a deep breath, Sheldon pushed the door open and walked towards Rapunzel's room. When he reached her door he knocked.

Sheldon was in class when it happened. The sound of screams drifted down the hallway and through the open door.  The class was confused for a moment but then they heard the sound of gun shots. Everyone reacted so quickly after that, the room seemed to blur. Sheldon was out of his seat and through the door so fast. His first thought was to get out of the school to get safe. But another thought crossed his mind as he ran down the hall. Stopping in his tracks, other people bumped and pushed past him. Rapunzel was the thought that made him stop. She had classes today, she was in the school. Sheldon knew that he had to find her. Remembering what class she had Sheldon took off the other way he was headed, back into the school to find her. 

Sheldon was out of his room in a flash. He really hadn't been expecting Rapunzel to want to talk to him. He had been a really bad boyfriend. Leaving like that and then not telling her anything. But his mom coming back was not something he had ever expected to happen, so he hadn't been prepared at all for the phone call from his father. It hurt even more now that he knew that stuff had happened to Rapunzel and he hadn't been there for her. How had things gotten so messed up. When he reached her door, he gave a tentative knock. Not really sure Rapunzel would still want to see him.
