"Jack is an energetic pup, overtly so. Eclipse has troubles keeping up with him, which is particularly troublesome when they're in a dangerous world with predators many times their size.
He somehow makes it work though.
"Jack, slow the hell down!"
They're in Outer Expanse now, and the kid is excited. He wants to get to the Hometree as fast as his chubby little legs can carry him.
And despite not knowing the way, he wants to lead anyway.
He had to snatch him up a couple times so he doesn't run off in a completely random direction, but of course the baby has to jump off his head whenever he puts him there, not staying put like a normal slugpup.
It makes Eclipse's jump ten times harder.
"I want to see Mama! I have to tell him I have learned to murder!"
Eclipse would be glad if he didn't. "
