Rain Falls wip
Super happy he actually won the on the “RDR2 characters I should draw” poll, because I truly think he is incredibly underrated.
I think it’s usual that indigenous characters are underrepresented half the time, and although based on the Lakota tribe (I’m Diné)—when I first saw Eagle Flies and his father in RDR2–I felt overwhelmingly happy in how they portrayed fiction and accurate western and tribal conflict, not to mention the care they took to developing both Rain Falls and Eagle Flies.
Honestly when I think about it, Eagle Flies and Rain Falls played part in the reason why I have my OCs, which goes to show why indigenous representation is overall important, especially to Western video games and other forms of content :)
I am sorry that I have been gone for so long. That I haven't been making any art or answering the asks or writing. The last two weeks have been very tumultuous for me. For the past four months, my baby girl has been trying to stay strong with lung cancer. And she had been doing so well. She still loved to play, slept and snored wherever we were trying to have a quiet moment, and ate so much and drank. But for the past two weeks, that had changed. It's been difficult for all of us. Unfortunately, yesterday morning, she passed away in her bed. She wasn't in any pain anymore, she wasn't alone. Just moments before, I gave her some water to drink and she drank it, before crawling to bed. I told her that it was okay, and to go to sleep. And she did. It was time. I will be gone another long while. But you best believe that she would want me to come back eventually and do my arts again. Because she knew that it brought me joy to bring others joy. Please give me time, and patience. And thank you for everyone who supports my writing and art. It really means more to me than words could ever possibly say.
I would like to say with every ounce of sincerity that I love this podcast. Grizzly, Charlie, Condi, and Bizly have managed to create such an incredible collection of riveting and memorable stories, so much so that even missing out on one (1) of those adventures for a few months has me going feral. The shenanigans of this crew of silly goofy wonderful pirates (NPCs included) is honestly some of the most heartfelt, gripping, and exciting pieces of media I have consumed in some time. I wish the jrwi boys some well-earned rest and recuperation, and I cannot wait to see what they get up to in the next few months that's going to leave us in more shambles mwah

I know there was probably a time when Dutch truly loved and cared for Arthur and everyone else in that camp but I just can't forgive him. After what he did to the native people I genuinely can't find it in myself to find any redeeming qualities in him whatsoever. Some of the missions Arthur agreed to do with Dutch and some of the things Dutch said just truly made me sick. I really hated those missions.
He was right.
