2025 Box Office Hits: The Bollywood Movies That Dominated This Year

The year of 2025 has had several high budget epics as well as mid budget drama movies released in theaters till now with many set to release in the remaining months. Among the ones which have been released, several were flops but a few were huge and memorable hits as well. The hits and blockbusters too are from different genres ranging from period action drama to thriller or romance, and one of them is now counted among the top collection movies in India too.

Though there have been only 4 box office hits from Bollywood in 2025 till now, they all are surely memorable and are counted among the Best Bollywood Movies of 2025. The following are the Bollywood films of 2025 which became a hit at the box office:

1. Chhaava

Chhaava is a period epic action drama movie based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. It is directed by Laxman Utebkar and stars Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, Diana Penty, and others in the lead. As of now, it is the highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2025 with a total Hindi nett collection of Rs 556.35cr. The film registered its name among the highest collection movies in India which is currently being ruled by Jawan Box Office Collection among Bollywood movies.

2. Raid 2

Raid 2 is a crime thriller movie and is the sequel of Ajay Devgn’s past hit movie, Raid. The film features Ajay as the protagonist playing an IT officer against Riteish Deshmukh playing the antagonist. Raid 2 is directed by Rajkumar Gupta and also stars Vaani Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in the lead. The film collected Rs 167.70cr India nett at the box office and ended up becoming the second hit of the year from Bollywood.

3. Sitaare Zameen Par

Sitaare Zameen Par is a comedy drama movie led by Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh, a sequel to Taare Zameen Par and also a film marking the successful comeback of Aamir Khan. The movie featured several debutants alongside Aamir Khan while the movie was directed by R.S. Prasanna. This film collected Rs 158.25cr India nett at the box office and became a hit.

4. Saiyaara

Saiyaara is a romantic drama movie directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF). It stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in the lead, marking the debut of the former while being the way to fame for both of them. Despite a medium budget and no big stars, the film became one of the most loved blockbusters of the year due to its content and the songs which generated a huge pre-release hype. The film has crossed the Rs 300cr India nett mark to become the second highest grossing Bollywood movie of the year till now and is still running on a very small level in theaters. Along with its domestic performance, the film showed a blockbuster performance in the overseas markets as well.
