This whole time I was under the impression that Rage Against The Machine was a punk/alt band...guess I'm definitely wrong. I always associated them with their attitude. I don't put them under metal though, gimme a break.

someone shoot me. i just read some shit that made me rage. look i hate the idea of a love interest so soon. i'm not ready for that.
but measuring tom's love for sybil by how long he stays devoted to her memory turns me off completely.
i saw someone say that the real test of tom's love for sybil is how long he stays devoted to her memory. and i...don't even know what to say.
the implication being that if he's able to lean into a kiss a year after sybil's death, he didn't love her as much as he said.
the true test of tom's love for sybil was how he treated her when she was alive.
now that she's dead, the real test is him living up to all that she thought he could be.
the real test is him not dying with sybil and living to give their daughter a good life.
also this line of thought is completely offensive to people who do love their dead spouses and yet fall in love and remarry again.
there is no prescriptivist amount of time that says "oh you grieved a sufficient amount of time. you officially loved your dead spouse as much as you said you did."
i just find this line of thought offensive and frankly, pretty immature.
