approaching the door with a bag in hand, aggie rustled around in her pocket for her set of keys. once her fingers finally found them, she extracted them from her jacket. she took a moment to pause at the door. entering into gabriel’s home was always a bit of a process for her. their three years of separation killed whatever comfort she felt around him. not that she wasn’t grateful for gabriel’s offer to house her until she got back on her feet, but it didn’t negate the tension between the two. there hadn’t been much of a conversation about what happened between them, and aggie doesn’t intend to start that discussion.
aglaia never really knew if he would be home, so she always brought enough food for two. even if he was absent, there would be enough that one of them could eat leftovers. aglaia finally found the motivation to put the key in the door once she remembered there was a bottle of hennessy waiting for her inside. twisting the key, aglaia reached for the knob and opened the door. noticing gabe’s presence, aglaia called out to him, “ i brought food. there’s enough for you if you want some. “
