“Left...Left... Left...” Fletch spoke out loud, sitting on the expensive couch in her track pants and her fluffy socks engulfing her feet. She had been staying with Raf for a few months and had settled in well in Merrock. She’d found herself a job at the times and was slowly getting back on her feet.
 But if she was honest she liked living with her ex step father. She liked the company even at times she was sure she was on the edge of irritating the older man. She held her phone out to him, a curious look on her face. “This guy. What do you think? Yay or nay?”Â
Fletch was deadly calm with her decision to come to Merrock. It was almost scary that the woman resembled a quiet storm as she rolled into town late that night in April. She hadn’t been to Merrock for a long time, but the streets looked the same even in the darkness. Her mother and Rafael’s divorce had never exactly been easy for either party, but somehow they had never let it effect Fletch’s relationship with her ex step father. Her whole life was packed up in one bag and she had no idea how Rafael was going to react to this little surprise. But still she parked up, her headlights shining into the window as she pulled herself and somethings out of the car. Heading up the steps she considered that she hadn’t really thought through what she was going to say and as the door opened only one word came out of her mouth. “Surprise?”Â
