The Voice on the Radio đź“»
Every night before sleeping, Sameer listened to an old radio.
One night, between two stations, he heard a woman's voice.
"Sameer..."
He turned the volume up.
The voice continued:
"Please don't go downstairs."
Sameer thought it was part of a radio drama.
Then the voice said:
"You're standing beside the radio right now."
Sameer stepped backward.
The radio suddenly went silent.
A few seconds later, a floorboard creaked downstairs.
Then another.
Someone—or something—seemed to be walking toward the stairs.
Sameer stayed in his room.
Suddenly, the radio turned on again.
The woman's voice whispered:
"Thank you for listening."
The footsteps stopped.
The next morning, Sameer unplugged the radio and put it away.
Three days later, he heard the same woman's voice coming from his television.
