The empty, desolate plains were long abandoned by any Subspace forces but the destruction that the army left in its wake was devastating enough to leave the entire land in a terrible state. It was basically a complete wasteland. Ike wandered in the wilting plants, stepping on them and hearing a light crunch beneath his feet as he did so. The mercenary was in search of his friend, Roy, who had disappeared after they had gotten separated by an environmental obstruction, a fallen tree. His search for the other seemed to be completely futile at first before he, as luck would have it at that moment, spotted what looked to be a figure in the middle of a patch of wilted flowers. Ike ran down a hill and hurried over to the figure's side to find that it was none other than the person he was looking for. The familiar red hair and clothing were all there, though tattered and worn from battle and travel. However, the young general was on the ground completely motionless. It was as if he was devoid of life, a mere puppet left on the ground.
"...Roy? Roy!" He called out in alarm, noticing the other's current state as Ike reached his friend and crouched by his side. "Hey, are you alright?" As he picked Roy up and held him in his arms, Ike saw that he was unconscious but still breathing. However, he was in a terrible state. Although he knew that he wouldn't be able to rouse Roy awake, he was going to get his friend to safety no matter what. They were almost completely on their own out in the open wilderness of the world and they were the only people who could fight together right now. Ike looked down at Roy and gave the other a gentle shake a few times as he slowly stood up. "Stay with me, alright? You'll be safe now. C'mon..." He muttered quietly as Ike began to run away with his friend in his arms.
Everything felt numb- His body, his legs, his arms.. even his head did. He simply felt in a state of semi-consciousness- just aware of his surroundings but body being unable to do nothing in return. Aware.. Well, aware that there was someone, but putting a name on the voice was something he couldn't put on it even with effort. He couldn't nothing- he was unable to do anything, he was stuck like this due to over doing himself to seek his friend. Luckily, it.. wouldn't last forever, wouldn't it? Even though it would feel like it, he just knew it..
Eyes left half shut, his head leaned to the side, dull, sky blue colored hues staring into nothing but thin air. He didn't like this.. nor enjoy it.. nor wanted it to stick around.. He wanted freedom and control again- he couldn't fear letting go everything so close again. Not now, he couldn't.. he.. He had to keep on. But.. How? Roy himself wasn't able to figure it out- maybe it was on Ike's luck to get him back on his feet soon enough..
