I have been using Athlinks for a while, mainly to keep track of my race times. I know the majority of my PRs, but since road running has become more popular and races more organized it has become useful.Ā
Why is it really that useful?
A lot of races have start corrals based on time. Most of those time corrals require a certain time to be in an early wave. If I someone canāt remember when they ran X time, easy head to Athlinks andĀ check out past race results. Then proceed to that raceās website to get the results and submit with your regular race registration. Boom. Corral secured.Ā
What is it?Ā Results Database - claim your results from races 10+ years ago! All of your PRs will be laid out in a nice clean easy to read format. Athlete Community -Ā āCompete and Connectā Connect with your friends and see their upcoming races and see who youāve raced against and either won or lost against.Ā
The top 36% of marathon shows me compared to the rest of my results that I have some work to do. Also, I need a new 8k PR. You can use it to look at your close rivals PRās too... or your tinder matches - are you faster than them?
What could change? Since Iāve been using it things have definitely changed. They added rivals a while back and the layout has changed.Ā
Things that stand out: -Itās impossible to follow people who are privateĀ -I canāt figure out how to add races and results anymore. It used to be super easy to add a race result post race, but now I canāt figure it out. *update I found it, but itās difficult to findĀ -Overview section: right now it seems like it is everyoneās race calendar, nothing about results or my upcoming races. News about races Iāve signed up for would be good. Right now I donāt like the race countdown content.Ā
