I honestly believe that this is my magnum opus. This scene depicts the epic battle portrayed in the epilogue of my mpreg Shrimpshipping fic, âDonât Speak Their Names.â
Rex is such a trooper for fighting an apocalyptic battle while in active labour. Itâs ironic that the first time I drew Rabidragon the Holy Knight, I tried to hide his baby bump. But here, I wanted to draw special attention to it.
Also, they are both 19 in this piece. This battle actually occurs on Rexâs 19th birthday.
The lineart ALONE for this piece took literally FOREVER. The good news is that with most of my pieces, the lineart takes a lot shorter than the colouring. So far, most of my time has been spent on the wings, the weapons, and Weevilâs proportions.
*I* for one appreciate bubble's fins. just like accessories and clothing, you have to be careful to not look too flamboyant or it would be tacky
