Who’s the best and worst fighter in the clan?

The best fighter in the clan is definitely Shademarsh, but Otter is a close second because they fight dirty!

Shademarsh probably wins about 8/10 spars, but he’s a good sport and will go easy on young cats to help build their confidence! Pheasantclaw is third, he will beat both of them when he’s older and smarter but he’s a bit young and inexperienced still :3

assuming babies medics and mediators don’t count the worst fighter is Wizard, and Blossompuddle is also pretty sloppy. They’re both good hunters though!

What do your notes look like?

my notes are REALLY messy! i rewrite almost everything as i draw so my notes are barebones, but i have a google doc with the age and season and events copy pasted, and other than that i just write their dialogue as i draw! i sometimes have an idea of what they’ll say and sometimes i draw panels that just give the illusion of talking with no dialogue if i cant think of any!

I try not to go too long without showing any single character, I try to give them pretty equal screen time, and make sure to reference recent and older plot points! Per example, I wish I had made it more clear that Robinkit and Firekit ‘s discovery is the resolution to Heroncalls dream about the two Maple leaves, but such is life 🤷 starclan works in mysterious ways

Which cats have the most complicated relationship with each other?/make you go feral?

I think the cats with the most complicated relationships are probably otter and their kids, but excluding that its probably Otter/Frostfoot/Starlingtail. They’re all friends for starters, but they never hang out all together, its always oliver and frostfoot, oliver and starlingtail, or frostfoot and starlingtail. This causes some miscommunications and misunderstandings between them, I think Starlingtail has a tendency to view other cats as closer to her than they actually are. I also go just absolutely hogwild thinking about frostfoot’s parents. They are the worst people ever i hate them.

Lore you've been wanting to share but haven't gotten a chance to?

Yes! In this universe (the rabbitverse?) StarClan is deeply divided at all times, they live entirely separately in territories that mirror/reflect their clan territories. They meet only once a moon with other clans just like in life, and those meetings are led by whichever four leaders were most recently deceased, one from each clan. This ensures that StarClan’s decisions reflect the values of living cats, or at least the views of only one generation ago.

Other lore about StarClan, in this universe spirits don’t fade, ever! Like lobsters. They can double die, but not from the passage of time. Each StarClan cat gets one shot, one chance. Imagine they’re on two hearts- they can send one message, one dream, or one prophecy, but that’s it. That’s why we never see a StarClan cat interact with a living cat more than once. This also applies to giving a life, if a StarClan cat gives a life to a living cat, the StarClan cat continues living StarClan, but if they give a SECOND life, they double die.

I didn’t feel comfortable making them canon because of their age gap and the way I have characterized them, and also it wouldn’t make sense with the story, but I really like Cherryfrost x Starlingtail! They have a mutual crush in game. I am also very partial to Blossompuddle x Nightmoth which have small crushes in game. Neither are canon for similar reasons- age gap and characterization, but It would’ve been fun!

I think there’s one post where I imply the idea of getting into starclan, which implies the idea of failing and then going somewhere else though- so that might be why. There is a dark forest, and there is no unknown residence, the clans have a very black-and-white way of thinking about themselves and others so they simply dont leave room for nuance. most cats in starclan have killed someone, even members of their own clan.

It takes a lot to get into the dark forest. Killing a member of your own clan in some sort of duel or battle is still considered honorable, but a sneaky murder in the warriors den would get you sent to the dark forest. killing an apprentice of your own clan would almost always be prohibited, but from another clan would be fine.
