being hammered with psych violence is great, because every single time you express any emotion ever it's a Symptomβ’ and you never are allowed to have any genuine expression ever again.
people paying for therapy is like, actually insane.
why would you spend a small fortune on what's essentially a modern-day confessional booth? you could have a meal out with someone you like for the same cost of a session, a few sessions would cover the cost of a holiday?? it's just paywalled human connection??? you could literally experience so much more if you weren't being fleeced into handing money to someone whose entire career has as much basis as astrology.
talk about disability and mental illness sociology 101 and the pro-psychiatry crowd, who also claim to be radical leftists, will absolutely pounce.
if you can't frame psychiatry, mental illness, mental health commodification and psych incarceration within a capitalist society context then you're not as radical as you think.
the best thing about psych meds is you can stop taking them and, as long as you stay quiet, nobody around you will ever know. nobody will flag up how you're behaving unless you actively tell them.
i stopped taking mine fully three weeks ago. other than a few days of withdrawal, nobody has said a single thing. nobody will. nobody will even notice because mental illness is about how others perceive you rather than anything like. actually about you.
so there you go. saneism in action.

we got so fed up of tenderqueer talk about disability that we've gone back to tough-love talk about disability and like... don't you all ever get fed up of eating your own tail?
reo bawling his eyes out after the breakup with nagic makes me really sad, but ness completely breaking down after being dumped by kaiser is really hilarious for some reason lmfao
THANK YOU for your antipsychiatry posts. I think exactly the same, but it seems to be really rare. People really assume that "doing random shit 8-10 hours/day", "having noises and stress hammered into you all fucking day" and everything connected to it is natural human life, and that not being able to bear it is being disabled??? What the fuck. I think humans undergo a process of domestication without even being aware of it because they also do not realize they are animals as well. The domesticated human is what they call "neurotypical". Being able to do what is expected of them, being docile, being less sensory sensitive. While being sensitive is important for survival for any animal. These "normal people" nowadays would just be eaten by a saber tooth tiger because they refuse to believe the tiger is there and don't listen to the sounds it makes upon sneaking up to them. They also laugh at these who notice the tiger and call them paranoid, delusional, or whatever.
i don't know if you're still around these parts anon, but this has been in my inbox for three months while i tried to reply. i don't have one, i think what you said is exactly correct.
