#rabbids scribbles

Tw for movie spoilers.

Using this old ass doodle to explain a little about the au since I’ve been working on it behind the scenes since I wanna have the story well developed and have a clear ending before i begin actually writing it. Some things I do wanna address that tie to my personal headcanons for the au versions of the main cast (Mad, Scribbles, Nerd, Barranco 3, and Hazard(aka Scientist Rabbid))

Mad:

Mad has probably some of the most changes, he’s still a mad scientist dw he’s just also into the drug making and dealing business since bro gotta make money for his wackass inventions and lab somehow! He mainly makes his own crazy concoctions and sells them either at parties he attends or nearby ones (mainly if he’s been banned at the particular place the party is being hosted at). Mad has a criminal background since he’s been selling drugs for like years now and he knows most of the cops by name though Rabbids don’t have that strict of a jail and usually let him out after a few months since what he’s doing isn’t considered a major crime (major crimes include: talking shit about Barranco and talking shit about the moon (I’ll elaborate on this one in Barranco’s section)). Mad is like 35/36 depending on what he wants to say on his fake ID’s though he acts like he’s still freshly 21 cause he can’t accept the fact he’s getting old lol. Nerd isn’t his first assistant and is actually his 10th (most left cause they couldn’t put up with him or he threatened to turn them into lab rats and scared them off). Mad is also a massive man whore cause I think it’s silly, he has a rep as the local crazy man down the street so he doesn’t get too much game but he still doesn’t hold back when flirting is involved, he likes to think he has rizz when most people just tolerate him at most.

Nerd

Nerd is Mad’s assistant and helps with keeping the lab clean as well as handling the cash when they sell ‘product’. He’s expected to do just about anything Mad doesn’t want to as well as often being the one bailing him out of jail or prepping him food. Nerd is Mad’s voice of reason and is the only reason he’s not dead or in a higher security prison. He basically is the one keeping Mad from being too impulsive which he’d probably describe as holding a rabid dog by a leash and trying to keep it from biting other people. Nerd often goes to parties with Mad since Mad is bad for drinking himself blackout drunk so Nerd is the designated driver. He finds Mad annoying but is often charmed by the chaos Mad brings to his life since before he used to work some boring office job that paid half of what Mad does (well when Mad actually remembers to pay him). Mad isn’t all that bad to him and actually cares a lot about how he’s managed to stay this long since most people can’t stay around him for longer than 48 hours without leaving so Nerd has a extremely high patience that doesn’t go unnoticed by Mad. As for his age Nerd is 26 and still nervous about most of the illegal stuff they get into since he doesn’t want to have as extensive of a criminal record as Mad despite working for him.

Scribbles

Scribbles is rather put off by modern rabbid society, seeing as somehow their species had gotten far dumber and more openly sexual than they had been during his time. He had been discovered by Barranco 2 along side the submarines and other old technology from his time before the ice age, which Scribbles was the only remaining Ancient Rabbid that hadn’t thawed out when the earth grew warmer again. Barranco 2 found this discovery intriguing and decided to preserve him which Barranco 3 (barranco who rules modern Rabbids) continued to do till Mad got his hands on him. Scribbles doesn’t like to partake in most modern Rabbid activities and finds their loud talking rather overstimulating and headache inducing at times. He was going to ditch Mad and Nerd to build a Time Machine back to his time before the ice age though upon realizing the dire state their species was in under Barranco 3’s rule he reluctantly decided to stay and help since he’s unfortunately too nice for his own good at times like these. Scribbles despite being an ancient Rabbid hadn’t aged since being frozen which by then he was in his early 40’s making him around 43 physically when he was thawed. he also speaks with a accent that modern Rabbids don’t posses and can read English and other languages perfectly despite modern Rabbids being unable to read anything that’s not their native language.

Barranco 3

The main antagonist is none other than our fav dictator Barranco 3! After taking over the world by illuminating the human race as a whole he was able (with the help of Hazard/scientist Rabbid) to create the modern Rabbids, Rabbids that were so stupid biologically that he could rule over them with ease and fill their heads with whatever he wanted them to believe in. He sees himself as a god amongst them though that doesn’t mean he’s fearless. He’s been extremely paranoid since the war (he’d almost gotten killed during a raid and caused severe nerve damage to one of his legs making him require a cane now to walk) since then he’s been always paranoid of anything that could be seen as an attempt to take over or call out his horrible actions and often reacts with extreme measures to ensure that the perpetrator cannot ruin things for him. He’s also extremely afraid of the moon, seeing it as a god-like being that watches his every move when it’s full, causing him to have only led his attacks during the war on new moons or even now cowering in his windowless room from its watchful gaze, which the reason for his paranoia over the moon was that he had actually killed his creator Barranco 2 under the light of a blood moon, which had happened to take place after Barranco 2’s blood had spilled, making him believe the moon was angry with his betrayal of his creator. Barranco 3 also suffers from headaches and is easy to anger given his heterochromia causing him to have fluctuations in his mood thanks to Rabbids only having red eyes when in severe stress and use it as a last resort of defense, causing him to be constantly stressed and agitated, often being on high alert at all times. After the war Barranco 3 had used the remaining Rabbids he had commanded to experiment on or to start construction of their new home land which disobedient ones would be used to test new weaponry that would be used to enforce rules and law effectively over Rabbids since he was aware of their species’ high endurance capabilities.

Hazard/Scientist Rabbid

Hazard is Barranco 3’s right hand man, often carrying out his orders without any hesitation. He’s simply a giant simp for him and will do whatever he says even if it’s cruel or unnecessarily violent. He’s been loyal to Barranco 3 since the war and helped him create the modern Rabbids as well as his weapons he armed his guards with. He handles a lot of the more scientific and mechanical stuff involving Barranco 3’s operations and doesn’t let anyone get in his way similarly to Barranco 3. He was noticed for his intelligence when Barranco 3 had construction of more submarines based off of Scribbles’ original creation that had been founded by Barranco 2 in order to have more simplistic ones to use during the war. He had been helping make blueprints as well as construct the more complex portions of the ships which caught Barranco 3’s attention and was what made him decide Hazard should be the head of the mechanics and weaponry division till ultimately becoming his right hand man.

A long time ago, Scribbles (Lapinibernatus) suffered from insomnia due to the rabbids and after the events of Mission to Mars, his insomnia happened less often but he still suffers from it.

After the events of Mission to Mars, Dr Olivia decided to take over Nebulous labs and renamed it, but I hadn't come up with a good name yet.

When she took over Nebulous labs, she quickly discovered that Frank Nebula secretly did some very horrible experiments on rabbids and when she was examining the place where he did his secret experiments, she found the surviving experimented rabbids who are the ones from the first 13 images from this concept art of what rabbids invasion was gonna be like. (I wish that they would've at least used a bit of the concept because it looked interesting, but I understand why they decided not to do it. I just wanted to have fun and came up with the idea of Frank Nebula secretly doing some messed up and crazy experiments and just me wanting to include the concepts in my post movie au.)

After Olivia discovered them, she sended them to the island where Scribbles lives to help them have at least a normal life. (As normal as it could be for a rabbid.)

Disco has a bag of music discs to play on one of her radios.

Scribbles, Mini, Nerdy and Mad are autistic.

Scribbles has cryophobia.

Rabbids are hermaphrodites.

I would like to imagine that in the future, Gina and Scribbles did reunite, but they've both moved on from each other and gone on to do other things in life.

Mini is sometimes insecure about his height and wishes to be tall again so he wouldn't be treated like a kid anymore.

When Scribbles and Olivia are alone and don't have anything else to do, he would tell Olivia about his adventures throughout the years he's been in the present and in the past where he used to live. (Assuming he decided to make another translator device.)

During the events of Mission to Mars, I imagined that Mad during that time was still continuing adventuring throughout the sky and the rabbids that were on the island in the movie were rabbids who wanted to settle and were tired of Mad's antics after a while, including Scribbles who had recently got a grip of his sanity and got his intelligence back with only a few rabbids staying with Mad, like Nerdy.

When Scribbles did get his intelligence and sanity back, he did try to teach Mad the many functions of the submarine but Mad didn't really want to pay attention much, so Scribbles gave up.

Tw- For mentions of alcohol.

He enjoys a good glass of wine once in a while when the other rabbids aren't around or bothering him and he usually has stronger but mostly moderate tolerance against alcohol, so he can withstand a few glasses of the stuff but he doesn't drink much. He also always keeps his wine hidden away somewhere safe, so the rabbids wouldn't find it and ending up getting drunk in the process and trust him if the rabbids do ever end up drinking the wine and getting drunk then all hell could break loose but fortunately his stash of wine is one of the few things he has that the rabbids haven't discovered and ruined yet, so he doesn't have to worry about drunk, alcoholic rabbids yet, unless they find his stash or discover a bottle of alcohol in one of the areas where the humans live.

He likes to listen to old vintage music like jazz, ragtime, orchestra, classical, etc.

I feel like he knows a couple of dances and could dance good, it's just that he mostly knows more old fashioned dances and traditional ones from his past, so he doesn't know much modern dances and he would rather spend his time doing other important things then learning modern dances, but Disco offered to teach him a few modern dances. At first, he hesitated to do it because, as I said before, he thought it would be a waste of time, but then after some convincing and begging, he decided to learn a few modern dances from her but in return she had to learn how to do a few of his own dances. They both had a bit of a hard learning each other's dances at first with him having to learn to keep up with some of the faster paces of modern dances and her having to learn how to slow down in most of his old fashioned dances. After a while, it ends with them ending up enjoying learning each other's dances.

I know I said this headcanon in a previous post but I'm putting it on here anyways. He doesn't like cold temperatures and anything else that's extremely freezing due to the fact that he has trauma and PTSD from ending up being frozen and trapped in ice.
