okay okay hang on itās meaningless fifteenth doctor theory time!!
ya know all those different outfits we see Fifteen in throughout the beginning of Church on Ruby Road?? when heās observing Ruby??? what if those are Fifteen at different points in time over Series 14/Season 1???
Isnāt a wild west story/USA story confirmed or something?? Maybe thatās why he was wearing the stetson??
Why would Fifteen even be going back to observe Ruby before they had met?? Zero clue!! But itād be a bit neat I think

Another day another screenshot re-draw but also a crossover! Initially I wanted to make this a crossover with The Bad Batch, however couldnāt find the right combination. Then one day the puzzle pieces fell to the right places as I talked with @kalm5ā about Star Wars stuff and we came to conclusion that R2 is, basically a droid equivalent of the best-est of boys AKA a dog.
So if R2 is a dog then Anakin is like... his owner? or rather handler if we take into account TCWās war setting... Thus the idea was born to crossover The Clone Wars cartoon with another vintage, black & white Polish TV series:
Przygody Psa Cywila (āThe adventures of Civvie the dogā?) is a 7 episodes long mini series (30 minutes per episode) targeted at teens. Itās about militia sergeant Walczak, who after loosing his previous working dog, rescued and trained a puppy, he later named Civvie - which is a glorious pun, because it creates a juxtaposition of a ācivilian" working in obviously militarized setting - Militia forces (At the time the TV series was made - 1971 - Poland was under a communist regime and didnāt have Police forces per se but a Militia forces that acted as a Police).
Each episode is a self-contained story - first two are dedicated to Civvieās origin as a working dog, the rest is the ātypicalā adventures of the duo - rescuing missing kids, dealing with smugglers, chasing run-away prisoners, etc.
Unfortunately the series is not nearly as popular as Four tank-men and a dog, so you might find all episodes on-line, but not with English subtitles (at least I didnāt find such a version).
That a shame, you should feel robbed, because itās one of my favorite mini-series!
Sergeant Walczak is a street-smart, polite and very experienced dog handler - considered one of the best by his colleagues at work. He has a very unique way of handling dogs - basically treating them almost like human beings. He talk to dogs as if they had had a deeper understanding of whatās going on... and Civvie seems to be above average when it comes to his intelligence: during downpour at the training facility all the dogs were ordered to sit... and sat in the rain totally miserable except Civvie who decided to be both law-abiding and dry - as the dog decided to sit under a small table, when ordered to fetch a stick across the body of water, Civvie didnāt swim for it like the rest of dogs but used a nearby bridge to cross and so on and on.
One they completed the training course at the dog training facility Walczak and Civvie became very tight-knitted - when in one episode Civvie goes missing, Walczak uses everything in his power to find his missing buddy. He basically ends-up in handcuffs and thrown to the jail due to his search for his beloved dog.
If thatās not Anakinās and R2ā²s relationship (but translated to officer-working dog relationship) in a nutshell I donāt know what it.
There are also other characters that could have, in some way of the other, SW equivalents, like:
One character in the show just whispers Mace Windu to me. Lieutenant Zubek (who appears in first 2 episodes) is stickler for rules. He is pretty high-up at the dog training facility. Zubek is not really at knives with the sergeant as a person - but rather takes umbrage with Walczakās rule-bending methods and tries to expose his lack of care to their higher-up (think Candace from Phineas and Ferb but militia setting in ā70. Poland under communist regime) we only know as āColonelā.
Colonel is a laid-back head of the dog training facility. He takes everything in stride and is not really bothered by, what in Zubekās mind are Walczakās misdemeanors. He understands Walczakās good-natured way of handling dogs and tries to keep in check Zubekās law-abiding, narrow mindset. So yeah, he is basically Yoda-esque character, but more... down-to-earth and humorous?
There is, of course, a lot more to The Adventures of Civvie the dog but for now I guess itās enough of my explanations! Itās already way too long as it is!
so. I'm going to predict something, and if I'm right, everyone here owes me 5 dollars (I need money)
I predict that the first R2D (that is, Russel T Davies' second run in Doctor Who) episode will either be named 'Doctor' or 'The Doctor'
evidence? none.
speculation? plenty.
1st: the first episode in the New Series, and also RTD's first Doctor Who episode, is called Rose. the name, or first name, of one of the main characters.
2nd: R2D will start with the 60th Anniversary special. every single Anniversary special has had the name 'Doctor' in the title (not counting unofficial or less important specials like Silver Nemesis).
so. if we take all that enourmous baggage of information into account, it makes a lot of sense that R2D will start with just the name of one of the main characters and also the word 'Doctor'

-Episode starts with a space chase, and the Grogu Crew boarding Dr. Pershingās ship. Some of the episodes had a slower start but I like that we got right to it here.Ā
-Can we talk about Dr. Pershingās glasses?? Have we ever seen glasses in a Star War before? Maybe we have, but these glasses really stood out to me in this episode for some reason. They were v cool.Ā
-Also what happened to Dr. Pershing? Did I miss something?? He wasnāt in the rest of the episode....
-Boba Fett and Koska Reeves fighting was a little silly, sorry
-I liked how Boba helped them get onto Moff Gideonās ship from Slave I and then just completely fucked off for the rest of the episode
-What was with that open catwalk over the ray shields??? In a galaxy riddled with OSHA violations, that had to be the most egregious one.
-those Dark Troopers were scary as fuck
-Din accidentally becoming the rightful ruler of Mandalore in his quest to save his son will never not be funny to me. I wonder if he will continue to wield the Dark Saber or if Bo-Katan is really going to fight him for it?? Iām interested in how all that will play out.Ā
-I truly, 100%, from the bottom of my heart hoped thought that Ezra Bridger was going to be the one who answered Groguās call. With Bo-Katan and Ahsoka making appearances, I really thought Ezra was the logical next step. So when it turned out to be Luke....idk. I was disappointed. Which I know is absurd? Itās Luke freaking Skywalker! But I donāt know. My reaction was just kinda, Oh, itās just Luke. Hey, Luke. Nice to see you. So do you know what Ezraās been up to, or...?
-DIN TAKING OFF HIS HELMET WITH ZERO HESITATION AND GROGUāS LITTLE HAND TOUCHING HIS CHEEK SEND HELP I CANāT HANDLE IT MY HEART IS BROKEN WHY DID LUKE HAVE TO TAKE GROGU FROM HIS LOVING FATHER? I HATE IT THANKSĀ
-Also, why the fuck didnāt Din, like, I donāt know, ASK A SINGLE QUESTION. BesidesĀ āAre you a Jedi?ā like comE ON DIN OF COURSE HEāS A JEDI LOOK AT HIM!!!!! Why didnāt Din ask his name, where heās taking Grogu, when parentsā day is, like literally anything that would give some clue of where he could visit Grogu or find him again.Ā
-I was more excited to see R2-D2 than I was to see Luke lol
-I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHEN AND WHERE DIN AND GROGU WILL BE TOGETHER AGAIN I really am not interested in continuing this show if they are apart, just saying.Ā
-Iām sorry, I donāt give a fuck about a Boba Fett show. It was cool to see him in the Mandalorian, but Iāve never understood the obsession with this character and I thought that tag at the end was pretty dumb.
-Dank farrik, we really have to wait a whole year for another season. I feel so empty now.
