I'm not gonna lie, "In My Mind" positively blew my mind the first time I heard it. Alex Crossman really struck gold with this one by masterfully combining his distant falsetto with a selection of flute shaped bloops, telephone chirps, and orchestral sweeps. He uses this tapestry to vaguely contemplate fears he's currently grappling with while the song slowly burns itself into a delightful psychedelic fever dream.

Best Moment: Both times the "In my mind, in my mind" repetition bends and twists as it slowly floats away from the song at 2:11 and 4:26.

The Album [R.Y.C.]: 7/10

When Guernsey’s Mura Masa uses his electronic musician/producer skills to make an Indie song about the angst and daydreams of youth, this is the excellent result: “Teenage Headache Dreams” featuring Ellie Rowsell & Wolf Alice is #15 #Bestof2020 #Top20

It maintains a great beat and sound throughout but for me it’s all about when Ellie Rowsell starts singing “I want to be free” at about 1:25. (Also I'm not sure why they list her separately from Wolf Alice since she's their lead singer). It’s a song about how some escapism is a good thing and I tend to agree. I certainly daydreamed a lot as a teenager. Another great track on Mura Masa’s “R.Y.C.” (which stands for Raw Youth Collage) is “Deal Wiv It” featuring slowthai.
