using this blog as a blog. theres so many things i never wear that pop up in my fashion vision boards constantly:
longer a-line tank tops that flare out a little toward the bottom
midi skirts with the same subtle flare detail
jorts
lightweight sheer layering pieces
blue eyeshadow worn as a neutral, like jeans
kitten heels
i dont own many of these but it is useful to think abt what i like in each of them so i can reach for pieces in my own closet that incorporate those elements already. like w the a-line tops it's ease + silhouette . which can be achieved by longer tshirts + the sheer blouses i have that i never wear. im not getting jorts i think their time is past but i will have to consider capris, whether they're workable w the ridiculous reality of the fact that having a kardashian 2010s era body can be said to be a deterrent or indicative of unsuitability. i watched a video talking abt how the key to building outfits is letting the requirements of your life mingle freely with your fashion preferences as opposed to confining yourself to the rules of the vision boards you keep, contingent upon factors that may not intersect w yours anyway, and over all the years none of the fashion content consumed has ever managed to convey so effectively what exactly it means to be "true" to yourself lol--probably because this creator is not speaking from the perspective of sales first, usefulness later
