Oh oh oh oh. Just watched "Always Crashing in the Same Car" for the first time (twice) and bloody hell, it was amazing. The nuanced characters brought to life magically by Grant and McGann were so amazing. I genuinely hated Bill with a passion, but I felt myself gritting my teeth, remembering who was playing him, but that did not stop the hatred. Then we have James. Oh, boy, was Grant amazing as James. I felt sorry for the bastard. Okay, I'll admit, I did kinda see the end coming, guessing from the whole "batphone" thing, but I still really enjoyed the film. Two thumbs up!
I decided to watch an episode QI to wake myself up this morning, and much to my surprise, I happened to pick an episode with Richard E. Grant in it. He was wonderful, even though he making pigeon noises and talking about hippos. Heck, he'd be wonderful doing anything.
