Mildly irritated by how Mother Nature seemed to make rain pour down on him endlessly every time he walked out, Sunggyu smacked his forehead hard as he groaned aloud. âIsnât it supposed to be summer?! Why the hell is it always raining?!â He was about to rant on until a whimper interrupted him â spinning around wildly to detect the source of noise, Sunggyu spotted a soaking wet cute girl who was hastily rubbing at her eyes.Â
Her beauty seemed to be almost ethereal, angelic despite her hair being plastered to her forehead and her red eyes still glistening. With previous experiences with the supernatural, Sunggyu took extra caution to approach her. âH-hey thereâŚâ He called out gently as he resisted the urge to poke her to make sure she was real and human. âAre you okay? Whatâs wrong? Youâre going to end up ill if you keep standing out here.â Following her gaze curiously, it looked like she was intently staring at the sky but now her nervous eyes shifted to his own wet figure. âIâll treat you to hot chocolate if you come out of the rain with me.â He attempted to coax her.
A nightmare woke her up, more like a warning telling her that another human was about to commit suicide. She had these nightmares coming to her after she became a human. They have been haunting her. Every time she had them, she would automatically ready herself to teleport to save that person. Despite from her previous job as an angel, she would watch them die then take their souls. Now, she couldn't after having experiencing human feelings and wanted to save them.
This time the nightmare took her out to a rainy day out in the streets. A man was standing waiting for the truck to come hit him. His situation reminded of herself when she did the same thing thinking that it would make her become an angel again, but her brother intercepted it. Overwhelmed by the feelings, she couldn't make herself to him. Her heart felt stuffy, falling to the floor in tears as she watched him being carried away by the paramedics. She was weak, too weak, after becoming human. She couldn't control her abilities as before. She hated herself for what she had become.
Upon hearing a man's voice, she managed to stand up, wiping her tears. She didn't know what made her to say the next statements to a complete stranger, but she did. "I saw a m-man die. I-I could have s-saved him, but I didn't." The words fell from lips, only making her to tear up more. She muttered to herself, "You're such a weak human." The word, human, easily slipped through her lips and she hated it. Then, she realized that she was drenched in the wet weather. She temporarily forgot about the man and now noticed that he was dripping wet from coming out from a dry shelter to ask about her well being. She responded to his offer with a simple nod.Â
