I also wanna say, I've gotten to the point where I wanna be so non-binary/genderless that all of my relationships can be considered yaoi/yuri. I'm yuri with my irl partner, but I wanna be yaoi with my f/os (nothing against straight people, I just wanna be as gay as possible.)

i remember somewhere down the line (not THAT down the line) where i said "my gender is whatever makes whoever's in love with me gay" and it still slightly semi-counts because im a demiboy but im probably just really gay. (im pan/uranic, but gay is an umbrella term)

Since you're a therian in secret, what are some things you do, and do you have any tips for her?

Okay, first of all, please tell your friend that I send her my regards, and that I feel bad for her.

And, well, here's the thing: you can't really choose to be a therian like "i'm a therian because i do quadrobics and wear gear and i chose my theriotype to be [animal] because i like [animal]' that isnt exactly how it works, i think. but if you feel that you're that animal/creature/mythical beast, then you most likely are that. and if things change, thats ok too. Everyone's journey is different, and everyone has therianthropy differently. Therianthropy is an identity. It's who you are.

Onto the tips and stuff, then.

Tip 1: If you're making gear (like a mask), keep it secret. Unless you've watched Jim Henson's Labyrinth or another movie that has some sort of animal mask in it. There's one part of the movie Labyrinth that has a bunch of people wearing animal masks, and my parents automatically thought I was trying to replicate one with my Dragon Mask, Polaris. (Though the movie might be a bit triggering to sensitive folk).

Tip 2: If you're doing quadrobics, make sure you're in a place where no one can see you, and if you post them, don't link your quadrobics account to your school account, or anything like that. Keep it in a separate account. And make sure to not show your face, so if your parents do find it, they won't know its you.

Tip 3: Act natural. I know its difficult to mask sometimes, but if you act like a human being around your parents, they'll suspect therianthropy lesser and lesser.

Tip 4: If you want to wear your gear in public, wait for Halloween. Ask your parents for one of those tail things for your costume, and just wear gear and stuff. Its Halloween, so (almost) everyone will be in some sort of costume.

Last Halloween, I went as Ogerpon, but there were some kids around my age howling at the moon and stuff, and I howled back, and they let me join in. It was like howling with a pack, almost.

One thing that I don't think would be the best idea is to act like an animal around your parents or other relatives that don't like therianthropy. Word gets spread around quickly.

I've been getting into the Sonic songs quite a bit lately, and I think this one is my fav! Live and Learn is still fantastic tho. I was actually singing it while I was getting ready this morning.

My regular Shadow (not ice cream Shadow) was I nice pillow as I cuddled Kiki and Tails. (:

It was pretty good! I kinda just curled up in bed while hugging the both of them. They were very squooshy

What I love about cuddling f/o plushies is that it makes me feel more at ease. Before I went to sleep, I kinda... over thought a few things. So I decided I'd just cuddle up with my Sonic and Shadow plushies and sleep, and I fell asleep fairly quickly! (which is rare, for someone like me)
