Yes the Stanley Cup! Love that Parker stole it from Sophie, their whole exchange about it was 10/10. And I hadn’t even noticed Sophie was wearing the same wig but you’re right! I wonder if that was on purpose? Who am I kidding it’s Leverage it was definitely on purpose

God the gold episode was SO GOOD! I loved Hurley coming back! Like obviously I’d be hyped for any return character, but Hurleys a good one (now just give us McSweeten??) Also his little montage of annoying the fuck out of Eliot to make him play better was amazing, I loved it so much

I haven’t seen the last two yet so I can’t definitively say what my favorite episode of these 8 are, but honestly it’s really hard to choose, they’re all so good!

Eeeeeeh, let me go with fennels with this one, because their taste is stupid and their texture unbearable. If you add to this the fact that my great aunt boils them all winter long and leaves the entire house smelling of them too... un-bea-ra-ble.

24. which do you find yourself using, american or british english?

If you go back to my first fic on Ao3, which is not my first one because I orphaned a couple lmao, it's British English, while now I have shifted completely to American mostly because I work with Americans and I don't like spending my time editing minor """"mistakes"""" such as "color" spelled the British way because they can't accept that spelling. And like... I guess that when I'm writing from Nicky's POV it would make more sense using the British spelling, because that's how we are taught to write, but who is going to even notice.

Re: Criminal Minds being weird from the start

I feel like any series that lasts over 5 seasons (3 if it's on CW) is doomed to go off the rails. But it shouldn't be a debate over when such and such show got crazy. It probably started that way. The question is at what point you had to wuss out.

And at that point you have two options:

A. Be bitchy and avoid everything to do with the show or whine about the creators

B. Get some popcorn and watch everyone else's commentary (i.e. me and the supernatural fandom)

I mean I love the show, I’ve seen the whole thing. I think I’d just somehow forgotten how odd it starts out. Which given that it’s from the same dude who gave us the batshittery that is Teen Wolf… Makes a lot of sense.

I do think though that when a show goes off the rails it has to embrace that (Legends of Tomorrow, embrace the insanity, have a giant blue bear thing hug a demon to death…) and I think the cast of Criminal Minds definitely did that… mostly.

I often wonder if the CW start pouring extra drugs into the coffee supply when a show hits a certain point though.

My Supernatural experience is… I can pinpoint the exact moment I noped out of that show (Meg’s death in S8) and watching the fandom has been amazing. It’s absolutely the perfect fandom to get popcorn for. The writer’s room on that show just seemed to hate everyone. Including themselves. As they revved up the generators to shock life back into the stitched together corpse they were trying to present as ‘The Plot’.
