Make a decoration of somesort like a string of snowflakes (since it is shiny). If the yarn is tough then I would also suggest a dg or cat toy. I make dog toys with squeekers in them.
Snowflakes do sound nice, I'd have to get something to stiffen them though. Unfortunately it's a pretty delicate yarn so anything heavy duty is out.
