âHah, yeah, them too!â Miyako laughed, shrugging a little. âBut Iâve always been more of a Wednesday.â

@rubbarbandâ liked for a starter!
âThis was... probably a mistake...â Miyako muttered. She wasnât sure how she had even gotten approved for a Work Study Exchange program, really. But somehow, she had ended up in America for the next few weeks.
... She suspected it was because no-one in Japan would take her, but that might have been her cynicism talking.
With a sigh, she pulled out her map and vocabulary book, trying to figure out exactly where she was supposed to be going. âRubberband, huh...?â She didnât know much about the hero she was meant to be shadowing. Hopefully he wouldnât mind that she wasnât all that good with English yet...
âA kiss list? Well, I know who would be at the top... and after that would be... everyone else in the class.â
â... Except Mineta.â
âOh, uh... this isnât cat food! Why would I be bringing cat food to my room, h-haha?â

âNoelle!â Miyako gasped when her friend reached the kitchen. She bounded over and hugged Noelle tightly for a moment. âOh! Your hair looks really cool today!â
Excitedly, she let go and headed back over to the stove. âI made you some birthday pancakes! But then I wasnât sure if youâd want them, so I made bacon and eggs as well. A-and a few other things.â She might have gotten carried away with the breakfast food. âPick whatever youâd like! I can put the rest away for other people.â

âO-oh, no it- itâs fine. Iâm just... not used to it, thatâs all,â Miyako said with a nervous little laugh. She was normally too anxious to reach out to people like that, so they tended to leave her to herself.
Fidgeting a little, she turned her attention back to the homework in fornt of her. âUm- so. I was just wondering if you knew the answer to this question? Normally I can get it, but Iâm totally stuck right now.â

-Ruby walks into Lemons Shop, Seeing the rare sight of lemon without her makeup or her hair even brushed...lets hope you live to tell the tale-
Miyako paused at the doorway for a second. Had she come by too early in the morning? She had been jogging and decided to visit with some coffee.
âAh- Lemon? You okay?â she asked, putting a coffee down on the counter for her. It was the same as Lemonâs regular order, something that Miyako had subtly memorized after a few trips to the nearby cafĂŠ.

It was not entirely unusual to hear the sounds of destruction from Miyakoâs room, especially in the morning. She had gotten much better at controlling her quirk since starting at UA, but she still slipped up, sometimes.
What wasnât usual was the amount of profanity involved in that morningâs bout of crashing. After a few moments, the door slammed open, and an unfamiliar child in a hospital gown ran out, crying. Miyako followed a second behind her.
âNo! No, no, stop, do not leave this room-!â she shouted (unusually harsh to a child).
The kid ignored her, running to the first person she saw and hiding behind him. He would keep her safe, right?
Miyako skidded to a stop, glaring daggers at the child. The last time she had looked at someone like that, she had actually used her quirk to curse them. It was not the kind of look anyone should ever direct at a kid.
âIâm being serious now,â she said coldly, her previous panic drained away by something entirely more dangerous. âIf you touch him, Iâll kill you.â
