@sharpsuite β ; the first time pat woke up in a hospital with a nurse telling her she's lucky to be alive, she was sixteen years old. her heart did not stop for sixty seconds, but that's not to say the injuries her body sustained weren't serious: multiple broken bones, internal bleeding, a kidney damaged beyond repair. she took months to recover, and even now, years later, her body still suffers the consequences of it in the shape of chronic pain and health issues. at least now, she has the comfort of knowing her wounds were caused by nature, as bizarre as it was; by lack of luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. it wasn't caused by the brutality of other people.
all things considered, this isn't even her number one traumatic experience. she shakes her head at him, unconvinced. what's most frustrating is the fact that what he says makes sense, yet every cell in her body is telling her it's wrong. " it's notβ i know trauma, okay? " if she made up false memories about someone new every time she went through something traumatic, there would be enough people to fill a city at this point. " and i never... ever felt like this before for anybody else. " it goes beyond a dΓ©jΓ -vu; she knows this man. yet she's sure she would remember his face if she'd seen it anywhere else. his looks are far from plain.
i believe you. the words make her eyes light up with hope. he must feel it too. must remember her from somewhere within the depths of his mind. pat remembers others, too, but no one triggers this feeling as strongly as chishiya. " how can we do that? " she's more than eager to find out more information, no matter what. " i'm down for anything. "
