“That’s what you say. But what I see is very different.”

PantherLIly watched his partner, sitting on the head of the bed, right beside the dragonslayer. They had had a long conversation about being reckless and everything. More than once by now. And the mage still did not understand what the feline wanted to say.

“Having a not broken body is more important than being strong.” he insisted.

Watching the mans actions, made the Exceed being ready if he tried anything funny. He had seen all those wounds on the mans body, and it sure as hell was nothing to joke about. It were very rare occasions, Gajeel being this bad, but they were still there.

“Remember I have an eye on you.” the feline threatened. “If you don’t return in a timely manner, I will haunt you down myself. And strap you to the bed. This is a promise.”

PantherLily had a habit of not telling anyone when he was sick. It had never been like anyone could tell him what to do, when he was back in Edolas. He had been large and intimidating, and nobody dared to talk back to him most of the time. So he just powered through everything, passing out in the evening usually, collapsing on his bed, in full armor.

Now, things were different. The feline experienced time and time again. Especially now, that he had gotten down with a fever.

There was a sudden cold on his forehead. His nose and whiskers twitched in recognition of the change and his face eased a bit. A presence was right beside him, his partner he was certain. It was soothing. Somebody being there. Not that he would admit that.
