Sawyer ran around Gabby’s small apartment frantically - she had been at work all day so he knew this would be perfect and really the only opportunity to make it really, really special. They had been together for almost three years now, and the male knew that Gabrielle was the one he was meant to spend the rest of his life with; there was no competition.Â
After dressing the apartment in red flower petals and several candles that were battery powered - only because Sawyer knew his luck with fire wasn’t that great, even if he was a chemistry professor, it was finally finished. Now it was just a waiting game, and the professor hoped his girlfriend would come home soon.
When Gabrielle finally made it home, Sawyer jumped up and stood in the middle of the main room, a large, goofy smile placed on his face. “Hey,” he started, pulling the small box containing the newly bought engagement ring instead of it. “It’s.. it’s been an amazing few years, and I love you so much. I was wondering, if you’d like to spend some more with me?” he asked, moving to one knee and opening to box to reveal the gold ring inside.
