I thought I'd reintroduce myself. I'm an illustrator who loves exploring the confounding parts of life. My work tends to be darkly surreal but also always filled with a bit of naive whimsy. I design for my clothing line #QueTerror and make tees that tales inspired by the terrifying bits of life. My newest series #LaNoche is a story about children kidnapped by the hands of the night sky. I'm also doing a daily challenge for a year called #TouchingDoodles. Every day I create a doodle on a post it note and pair it with a thoughtful, silly or sad quote. I want to make you think and laugh and hopefully leave you feeling touched. Outside of that I love traveling and exploring (like most people who are lucky enough to have the chance), I'm a hip hop aficionado, I adore great fiction, I love concocting stories and I do my best to care about other people. My brother took this shot of me at zenith beach. I thought this pic was a good chance to tell people what I'm all about. I'm an illustrator with a love for telling surreal stories set amongst everyday life. 💀 Currently I run a clothing line called #QueTerror and my most recent release La Noche tells the story of a group of children kidnapped by the hands of the night sky. It's inspired by the night and the confusion of big cities. It's a story told on tees and hoodies. ✏️ I'm also doing a daily sketch and quote series called #TouchingDoodles. It's inspired by life's scary and confusing bits and it's meant to be silly, thoughtful and hopefully touching. Que Terror is an expression of horror and surprise in Spanish. I found this name while travelling through Bolivia in 2011. In Sucre I became part of a tight crew of locals and travelers and whenever we came across a strange cultural difference the locals would whisper in a dramatic tone ¡Que Terror! The phrase just stuck. It ended up summing up South America for me - a surreal place full of excitement but also confusion. It captured that feeling of anxious excitement that only exploration can bring. It fitted perfectly with the little stories I wanted to tell on tees.
