#questions?

I am struggling from art block at the Worst time ever so, i thought id write down stuff about my lil fatherless au i got going on.

I think, turtles are around... 6, when a cave in causes splinter to sadly pass away (rip ratman) and the turtles are left alone with the semblance of a home. I think the dojo would've been made, but a lot of the advancements not so much. No TV, no lighting minus candles, no working kitchen.

The tots are gonna have to figure that all out themselves.

Leo obviously would take on the brunt of the burden, he tries to replace splinter. Not consciously, of course. But subconsciously enough that I imagine his brothers soon view leo as like their dad. I think of that scene from ATLAs where saka says he doesnt remember his mother anymore, only sees kataras face.

Donnie would take on the actual hows of survival, some awesome people made a great point that the things they use to live, the kitchen, lights, neccesasities would end up on donnies shoulders and I totally agree! Itd be stressful as hell! Lil tot dragging home old tech to try abd get a heating system working before winter. Trying to get the sparking lights to work. Trying to make a cooker that Won't burn the place down

Mikey would, I think, be in charge of food and just the emotional wellbeing of everyone. I think he'd feel his brothers issues deeply and think its up to Him to keep everyone happy. Help out when he can, do what he can. I think he'd be the biggest people pleaser in the world. Theyre all children, they dont know how to be adults but theyre all trying. Subconsciously taking on different responsibilities.

And raph. I struggle the most with that guy! I think he'd be a Great protector, he'd be the helpful brother, but i think still the angriest. Ive always struggled with raph, where he stands with things and in this au, I am not sure what he'd do. I think hed be so focused on safety, trying to constantly protect and help. But I think without an actual role outside of that he'd feel a bit aimless. Like he doesnt truly fit in?

I dunno which tmnt version this is either. I think leaning towards 2012, but im gonna take inspi from all versions.
