Still giggling at "crafted soft glitz". I gave it a go, & to my heartbreak but also intense amusement, my current favorite Truman Capote became - ready? - Compact Manure. So I tried Oscar Wilde, which gave me Alice Sword...a book character, surely.
Compact Manure: oh, Capote, you poor thing. I am suddenly desperate, actually, to read about the inevitably fantastical adventures of Alice Sword (who has to be some sort of badass Wildean dandy - spouting acerbic aphorisms about muffins and tea while brandishing a cutlass in a ball gown, perhaps).
Zelda Fitzgerald, bless her, becomes Dazzled Fate Girl; Vladimir Nabokov becomes Bravado, Milk, Vino, which is glorious. <3
