about the person who replied to my prev. ask about not being able to sleep because my mind wont shut up i have severe insomnia thanks to my ADD the only way i get rest is if i get so sleep deprived i pass out. My friend, who doesnt have ADD, said it takes her hours to fall asleep because it takes so long for her mind to turn off like an old computer, well my mind doesnt turn off it just keeps running until it crashes and force shuts down. that post wasnt for them and it feels invalidating

Something about the ending (besides so many WoC died) rubbed me the wrong way and I couldnât put my finger on it until now. AoS has this weird obsession with making the WoC the villians and the white guys just sad misunderstood puppies who do things for âgoodâ reasons.Â
And yeah I definitely feel like itâs racist. The good white/bad PoC tropeâŚIâm not sure about the misogynistic part but I could be wrong

hello! i actually liked jiayingâs character a LOT and i liked her in her âvillainy.â i guess iâd consider her a âmisunderstood villainâ or something? i personally felt like the show was pretty adamant in its stance of jiaying having been beyond brutalized at the hands of people who were fascinated in her and the intentional parallels drawn between hydra and shield.
obviously i do not think shield is hydra in the least (well, this is complicated but i think you know what i mean). i just want to make this clear. but to jiaying, it really doesnât matter. gonzales was there to index her when she wanted to live quietly and in peace with her people. she was doing nothing wrong until shield came and wanted to analyze her and put her in a database. i felt as if the show let us know that jiayingâs fears and frustrations were justified. they reiterated time and time again what whitehall did to her. i donât think weâre meant to brush that off as not a big deal, especially considering how jiaying emphasized that she felt pain the entire time. shit, i can barely handle a papercut, you know?
i think what iâm getting at is i never saw jiaying as truly villainized. i disagreed with what she did which i was able to do as an audience member who hasnât been through what she has and i feel pretty confident that our shield (team bus sans ward) really arenât malicious. but i could totally sympathize.
THAT SAID, no, she shouldnât have died and marvel needs to hire dichen again to make up for killing her and raina and fridging kara.

Okay so I'm really mad rn because I was talking about the new avengers movie with some family friends, and Hydra some how came up and my friend's dad said "I rather work for hydra, they're cooler" me: "um they're nazis" him: "no they're not" his daughter: "uh yes dad they really are" him: "oh well doesn't matter I just like the octopus logo" which is really gross. Like how can you look at an organization built on genocide and racism and think "oh yeah they're cool cuz octopus insignia"
ah iâm sorry that happened. i mean i donât necessarily fault people for being super casual consumers. some people just want to watch superheroes zoom around and fight robots. but to go âoh they may be nazis but the logoâ is p damn lazy. not even that theyâre genocidal but that theyâre nazis.
that said, you gotta remember itâs okay to pick your battles. if shit gets stressful in a bad way, you can always disengage! some people just wonât pick their words right or get very defensive or in general act careless/casual. you have to take care of yourself!
