I love when queeroids think they’re incredibly sophisticated because they’ve heard of Judith Butler or whoever- Like, they think people believe in biological sex because we’re just too rigid and backward to “get it.” But when you see what they’re saying, none of it is all that sophisticated or intellectually challenging. It’s as if these people’s minds were just totally blown the first time they realized there was any ambiguity or nuance in the world at all, and now they assume everyone who disagrees with them is stuck in an “outdated” or “binary” worldview.
But they are the ones demonstrating an inflexible, simplistic, and frankly immature way of thinking. Their understanding of the world is so black-and-white, so all-or-nothing. They think the existence of intersex conditions somehow “debunks” sexual dimorphism because the first time they learned about intersex conditions it shattered their understanding of reality. The world is very complicated, and human language is an imperfect tool for describing it. For every useful concept you can think of, there are all kinds of edge-cases and counter-examples. Queeroids thinks “queering” things is so outrageous and mind-expanding and intellectually challenging because they’re dumb, shallow people who can’t cope with ambiguity, and they project their own intellectual rigidity and shallowness onto their critics. They’re the ones who think men in dresses is the most subversive, shocking thing ever, when the reality is that most people don’t care.
“OMG these categorizes don’t perfectly describe reality 100% of the time! That means they’re utterly useless and must be thrown out entirely!”
“Some people can see really well, some people can’t see at all, and some people can only see a little bit. Therefore: blindness is a social construct, donate to my paypal.”
