Lesbian culture, is asking who the lead actress in the new terminator movie is, and knowing exactly who “the girl from that episode of black mirror” is.
Queerdoes
Hi babes! Me and @wrongwaytoinfinity started a podcast on LGBTQI+ related themes, called Queerdoes.
Go check us out on soundcloud! You can also find us on Stitcher and TuneIn.
Also, follow us on Instagram for your daily dose of queer content. 🏳️🌈💕
ComicStreetAU was a success! Draft copies of BadBirbs Issue #1 sold out in under five hours, and a lot of people enjoyed the... ‘experience’ of reading it. You have no idea what it feels like to get such a positive reception (unless you’re an artist too, in which case why haven’t we traded yet!?).
Fresh copies are now available in the Etsy store and will also be available at The Zine & Indie Comic Symposium, but they won’t be draft copies. I’ve added a content warning to the cover, perfected a few minor errors, and completely rescanned the pages to capture that good colour. Aw yiss.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but any excuse to pick out a themed movie night is a good one. Two amazing titles followed by a very average title: Breakfast With Scot, Carol (one of favs), and Make the Yuletide Gay. . Happy birthday, Jesus. #gay #lesbian #queer #lgbtiq #mogii #movies #films #cinema #christmas #marathon #queercontent #breakfastwithscot #carol #maketheyuletidegay (at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia)
Queering Up Summer
Sorry for going cold there.
This last month has been stressful with a break up and a friend’s suicide attempt a week before three major assessments were due. Needless to say, I crumbled. But I’m out of that state now and my pencil is pointed up (this is not a euphemism).
I’m looking forward to smashing something out for ZineWriMo, and will be holding/attending events in Brisbane in November and December, so if you’re working on something right now then I’d like to hear about it (literally nothing cheers me up more than listening to someone geek out about queer stuff).
I’ll also be reading Nevo Zisin’s Finding Nevo, Rainbow Rowell’s Carry On (with the fabulous @kevinwada cover), and Yoon Ha Lee’s Ninefox Gambit (a kind gift from @coraltum). If you’ve read these titles, or want to read along, just send me a message.

A Worn Key
This key is old, yet for me it is new. It is plated with silver or nickel (or other) and shines brassy where it’s worn. It’s probably not brass. It says it was made in Italy, but it was probably cut at Mr Minit in Toowong.
I’ve attached an old bauble to it: a hand-carved peach seed with Chinese writing on a burgundy chord threaded through four jade beads that jingle when they hit the key. In one place, a pattern is woven with the chord that makes it look like an endless loop.
This is the seventh key this bauble has carried. I’ve moved and moved and moved many times in the last ten years. Probably more than seven keys, actually. Definitely more than seven keys.
It used to be attached to a palm-sized plastic frog. When you held a lever down on the frog’s back, it would shoot light out of its mouth. It was a kid’s novelty torch. Very bright.
I’m not sure what happened to the frog since I borrowed its chord, but I hope it’s comfy in whichever dark box it’s sleeping in.
There are always so many boxes, so I never know where to start looking for it.
But I only need this key to start cutting the tape.
