In order to flesh out his character more roundly and to give him the kind scandalous reputation he purports to have among the gods of all pantheons, I’ve headcanon’ed--but not yet fully shared!--an interesting list of past romantic and sexual entanglements and interests! }
Bast/Bastet - entanglement, all verses
Kali - entanglement, selective verses (see also: he’s married to her in a few of them)
Loki - interest, most verses (although in some he’ll roll his eyes and complain about that being “a little too obvious, don’t you think?”)sidebar: seeking a Loki!double sidebar: expect a lot of Son of the Mask jokes
Krishna - just a friend he flirts with a lot, especially in verses where he’s married to Kali
Cleopatra - entanglement, some verses (but he prefers to keep this more of an enigmatic rumor)
{ I’m sure there are going to be others, but I haven’t thought through them yet. Most of these were post-Ariadne, pre-being actually better.It should also be noted that one of the ongoing elements of these headcanon’d relationships is that Dio had a number of orgies in the time following Ariadne’s death, all the way through to the end of Rome, so there’s the potential for even more scandal there! }
