Do you know of any fics similar to the events of the tv show Eyewitness? Perhaps not the witnessing a murder part but where they are together but one of them wants to keep it a secret because of internalized homophobia or something and so in public is really terrible to the other or pretends not to know them? It was a modern AU with bucky (99% sure it was him) being the son of a publicly homophobic senator (i think) and bucky getting into a relationship with Steve and he's scared to tell him who his dad is thinking he'd break up with him? They end up having a conversation about his dad (w/o steve knowing it's his dad) and bucky is like erm... and it comes out that it's his dad? I think that's how it goes...

OMG! or maybe they do know but they are just so loud that they are still shocked. Or just people genuinely being shocked when they find out they are together haha.
