I'm curious; why do you think JT was the best President and why do you think Clay was a better Pres than Jax even after everything he did? I mean Jax still got out of the gun business which Clay and JT never did. Clay made a deal with the cartel and JT was the one to agree with the IRA at the first place
First of all I’m talking only about club business here and not individual. It’s easy to say that JT was the best Pres since we haven’t seen his mistakes (cause he’s dead *sobs*). About the deal with IRA, he didn’t agree, he didn’t wanted to do it, he knew it will turn out bad and bloody (Clay and McGee kept telling him that everything would go well) but he accepted the deal so he could pay Thomas medications. SO yeah he only agreed to it so he could help his dying son.
As for Clay, like I said, yeah he did some bad stuff like trying to kill and succeed to kill so many people, but he was the one to make the Sons what they were back in the first seasons. He’s the one that really succeeded in establishing the club in Charming and having everyone in the town on his side. He made successful alliance with Niners. The bad business I can point is the Cartel mostly, it added a lot of problems to the club, but it also helped them (security-wise) when they were in prison or against the Russians.
Now about Jax, oh yeah he got rid of the Cartel and Gun deal but surprise! after seeing last episode you see that it’s not as easy as he thinks. He made way more enemies than the previous presidents had. Let’s be honest, it’s only a matter of time before IRA release the kraken upon them, there’s still August who want to honor Pope and wants Tig (he’s suspicious Jax was involved in Pope’s death just like IRA) and he’s basically just an ally in disguise. Last season Jax turned the Grimm Brothers against him who knows what they might do to get revenge, and now he has Lee Toric on the club because he wanted Tara to talk to Otto to get rid of RICCO. And you know something that didn’t happened with the 2 previous President? A school shooting which the club is involved with since it was their gun. Basically so far the only good thing Jax did with the club was the deal with Nero, other than that he made WAY MORE enemies.
And the fact that Jax is about to lose a second Vice-President since he took the gavel says a lot about the decisions he’s making and how he’s handling the club.
