From Kore to Persephone
From a minor goddess of spring to a revered mistress of the Underworld. Truly one of the best career advancements among the gods. Persephone should not be considered weak and helpless, punishment will overtake those who honor her with unworthy gifts.
From "Maiden" to "Deathbringer". I see Persephone as self-esteeming but not arrogant. She knows her position and she will not allow herself to be offended, even when she spends two-thirds of the year with her mother Demeter. This goddess changed her name not only to become the goddess of the Underworld, but so that everyone else would understand what would happen if they crossed her. She is not a fragile flower but a thorn bush, but even it has flowers to please those Persephone loves.
I am so happy to show you this work! I have wanted to bring it to life for a long time! Persephone was not a very interesting goddess for me at first until I realized that I see her differently than others. Persephone is a deadly, self-respecting goddess to me. She will not allow herself to be treated badly, she is no longer a little girl, as Demeter sees her. Listen to the song "Pomegranate Lips" by Derivakat. It was this song that inspired the character and history of my interpretation of Persephone.
