Being locked up for so long without any care or attention drove Spino crazy. She finally took the one time the caretakers came into her paddock as an advantage. The large gates were open and before any of them knew it, she ran out, roaring as she reached her freedom. Spino ran throughout the island, enjoying whatever she saw, not really going for other dinosaurs. She slowly to a stop once she reaches the valley for the Gyrosphere ride, sniffing around and beginning to explore the area.
Alex was milling about in the valley, running through some training with her parasaurolophus. She needed to make sure they were all going to get the word out when an order came through. And she noticed they were working well together. When she dismissed them, she started on another herd from her tree.
But as she worked, she heard a call from one of her parasaurolophus she hadn’t heard before, and suddenly there was a miniature stampede. Alex held on tightly to the trunk of the tree as the ground beneath her shook from the running of the large animals. But many of the older ones stayed in their spot, a fight or flight response coming up. And they were choosing fight, keeping the tree behind them.
Looking past them, she saw a dinosaur that wasn’t running after her girls. But it wasn’t one that belonged in the valley. She looked... She looked like one of Anna’s girls. But the spinosaurids weren’t near the valley. They were over with the T-Rex on the other side of the island. Someone would have called ACU by now. No one could have not noticed this dinosaur running around!

It was weird to realize Lydia had been offered this volunteer position a few months ago. It was weird to be on an island so far from Baltimore. It was also weird to actually say she was helping monitor dinosaurs. It sounded like something straight out of a science fiction film but, it was real. So real that she had even been able to pet them, monitor the young and help the sick. Her knowledge of anatomy from the curiosity shop interested one of the workers on his visit back home. At first, Lydia thought he was joking but, then she realized this was a real thing. She had never heard of Isla Sorna. No one had. This was top secret. Working with the FBI as a sketch artist/psychological informant taught her the meaning of secret. Nobody knew she had a side job doing those things except the people who were supposed to and she planned to keep it that way. She wouldn’t have to worry about it for awhile though.
She was being sent to an island far away from the comfort Baltimore provided. Her shop would be continued by one of the museum curators she had befriended when she started learning about anatomy of different species. She trusted him well enough but, it was still her shop and she couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable being away from it. However, the discomfort wasn’t too hard to manage because she was around dinosaurs. It still felt like a made up sentence in her head.
Lydia shook her head as she realized she was spacing out and tuning in to the thoughts. She looked around the room and noticed a panicked expression on the worker’s faces. Hesitating at first, she finally let out a “What’s wrong?”
“....The Spinosaurus......she’s missing....”
Lydia’s face flushed. She had worked with the Spinosaurus since she had hatched. She was a ferocious animal but, her and Lydia seemed to be on okay terms. The word okay being used loosely however. The healing marks from the bites were still visible on Lydia’s arms and legs. Spino had grown incredibly large in a few short months. She was the first dinosaur Lydia had ever seen. She watched her grow from hatchling, to human baby sized, to horse sized and she just kept growing, until she was almost the size of a tyrannosaurus rex. Lydia couldn’t believe it. In just 4 short months, she was no longer allowed to help it medically without tranquilizing the large dinosaur. No longer able to risk the bites because they would literally kill her. No longer to view the animal as a pet, even though a part of her still believed it was possible they had bonded in some way. This was a dinosaur.....one that had grown too fast and too hungry and now, she was no longer on the radar. There was a sense of panic, a sense of alarm and even a sense of worry. Lydia just hoped wherever she was, the dino had not become a snack for another species.

Anna didn’t know what compelled her to go the other island, Isla Sorna. However, she wanted to study the wild Spinosaurus. Only a few people knew she was there, which they thoroughly disagreed with her decision to go... To comfort them, she had a few people on standby, in case things went bad. Anna was also armed with a tranquilizer gun, in case the creature got too close for comfort. It was very strong and would kick in within the first two seconds of contact. She hoped, however, she wouldn’t have to use it on the large, beautiful theropod.
The geneticist-gone-handler made sure to rid herself of any unnatural scent. However, she had traces of her own Spinosaurus’ scent on her, which made a few other creatures steer clear of her.

Spino looks to the other and tilts her head. She was surprised to see a dilophosaurus as a human as well.
Dilo looks to the Humanized Spinosaurus and her eyes jot up and down looking at her cautiously, eyes narrowing she speaks.
“It is strange being human, I have to cook meat now or I feel sick.”
