Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (/ˌnɛfərˈtiːti/) (c. 1370 – c. 1330 BC) was an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife (chief consort) of Akhenaten, an Egyptian Pharaoh. Nefertiti and her husband were known for a religious revolution, in which they worshipped one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. With her husband, she reigned at what was arguably the wealthiest period of Ancient Egyptian history. Some scholars believe that Nefertiti ruled briefly as Neferneferuaten after her husband's death and before the accession of Tutankhamun, although this identification is a matter of ongoing debate. If Nefertiti did rule as Pharaoh, her reign was marked by the fall of Amarna and relocation of the capital back to the traditional city of Thebes. 📍 The bust of Nefertiti from the Ägyptisches Museum Berlin collection, presently in the Neues Museum. #iregipto #egyptpassion #queen #nefertititattoo #queennefertiti #neuschwanstein #neusemuseum #ägytischesmuseummünchen #thebrust (at Berlin, Germany) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Tq5iingZM/?igshid=qi2bnaegznhk

Queen Nefertari The tomb of Queen Nefertari was discovered in 1904, but it was not open to the public until the early 1990s, due to some damaged inscriptions and decorations due to salt deposition. With Kleopatra, Nefertiti and Hatshepsut, Nefertari was one of the most famous Egyptian queens. She was the main wife of King Ramses II and in her honor Ramses built a temple in Abu Simbel. Egyptian priests watched her with the same respect as well as her husband. #thegiftsofmindfulness #iregipto #egyptpassion #retreat #yoga #inspiration #alchemistofunconditionallove #queennefertiti #natgeotravel #nefretiti #necklace #nefret https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu7FoZeB7LL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=505mjgdn65l
The most famous face in Ancient Egypt… vanished. 👁️✨ No tomb. No mummy. No grave.
Queen Nefertiti disappeared over 3,000 years ago, and her body was never found. Was she erased? Did she rule under another name? Or did she choose to disappear forever?
What do YOU think happened to Queen Nefertiti?
