Everyone’s human and all, but this type of habit has been bugging me lately around the fanfiction community. I understand people have lives outside social writing pages and things to accomplish in their own individual schedule. I understand that time is not always in your favor and that things you do in your life do not always go as planned. I understand that everyone is entitled to be human, however... When the time comes that a creative artist is inspired to make a story, it always has the repetitive and mundane phrases such as:
✧˖° School/exam hiatus
✧˖° Job/work hiatus
✧˖° View/follower or the “Give me this many ____ or I quit” syndrome
Everything that was mention above are the top excuses used in the society of writers.
Not to say these aren't reasonable apologies. It’s just WAY too many of you decide to sprinkle together some crappy “desu” make-up that supposed to mend over your bullshit one too many occasions.
Answer me this: Why do people waste time and procrastinate things in which that have become apart of life?
Everyone has school and exams.
Everyone (eventually) has a job or work to complete.
Everyone wants to be admired and praised for their efforts.
No one here is a bum on the streets. You have resources available. Stop wasting everyone’s time with lame excuses for poor management.
Not to say that original pieces aren't worth the wait. If they’re good.
But for everyone else, plan your schedule. It’s not even about the matter to exact time minutes. Get your shit together and make time for it like everything else. You know you have things to take care of, that also includes your fiction too. Stop trying to win sympathy points and bullshit “Please update soon >.< I love your story” messages because it’s more than likely that people will become bored and move on to the next. People will not wait on your lazy unmotivated ass to finally decide and update. And if you’re really the “I have writer’s block and I’m taking a break” kind of person I HIGHLY suggest to type ALL OF IT out before even THINKING about posting it. That way you at least have a base platform that you can work from beforehand, because in all actual truth some of you don’t even try anymore. Especially knowing that the majority of everyone’s pieces are not best-selling award winning hits. Please please PLEASE get your shit together.
This is the 21st century and we still have folks pretending like they have polio and rusty typewriters in a low candlelit cave. Come on now. Cut that shit out. It’s time to improve and work harder at it. Make the best out your talents and use every resource and opportunity available. Everyone can do that.
