I know this is a lost battle but saying something 'is not a shoujo' to point out that it deals with heavy teams, violence, blood and gore or generally just isn't a high school romance is not correct at all and you don't know what shoujo is. I should start doing this with shounen series that aren't battle shounen,,,, gonna recommend haikyuu and say 'it isn't a shounen at all! it's about sports and lots of other themes that shounen and their silly boy battles don't deal with 😇' i think there's been enough famous shoujo out that weren't high school romances that we can stop doing that, please. I'm sure we can recommend a show without demeaning shoujo and acting like it is a genre and not a demographic full of different genres inside it.
