21.4.19 - Queanbeyan
Started out in the morning to continue the Captains powertrail with 3ferrets. Went by some lovely farmlands continuing to collect geocaches.
Found ourselves stopping at the Historic Anglican Church of St. Thomas’ Carwoola, which had a cache in the grounds of the church. The church was built between 1872- 1874, it has been in use ever since and has been registered on the Australian National Heritage Estate since 1990.
After a few hours we decided to abandon the powertrail in favour of some high favourited caches. Headed North East up to Bungendore to find Soul Surfer (GC7XMKW). This required a tree climb to get the container. Ended up about 5 metres off the ground. Not much of a view here but a fun tree climb all the same.
At about 2.30pm we headed back to the show grounds to do the tree climb on site. Lost track of how many geocaches we found today but had an awesome time!
