Quarentine Log
day 24
I'm trying to stay locked in my room, so I don't run into my dad in the hall. He's been in a bad mood for the past few days (I dare to say for the past 30 years). I heard him talking to someone on the phone, someone from the church. In a soothing and disappointed voice, he said that although we’re all here, we were distancing ourselves because of the quarentine.
And now i'm here burning with rage. (Don't worry, I have experience in living several feelings, without showing any of them. In a house like ours, this is a skill that you need to develop as soon as possible.)
How dare he?Â
In all these years he has accused us of several things, provoked fights between me and my mother or me and my brothers.Â
He blamed us for administrative decisions he made in his work. Worse, he blamed us a few years ago for getting a lover. Us. His children.
The situations were so diverse and so bizarre, but our conclusion was unique: even living in the same house, we should stay away from him.
My point here is not why I haven't left yet (by the way, if you have a job vacancy over there it will help me a lot), but why people are blaming the quarantine for something they haven't seen it before?
