QUAD Creative Wellbeing Symposium
QUAD’s Year of Wellbeing got off to a great start last week with a Creative Wellbeing Symposium. Around 40 people from the fields of arts, health, community care and wellbeing came together to discuss current practice in the city.
Mike Brown, Arts Development Manager, Derby City Council outlined the context for arts and health in Derby. Further presentations included Supporting Wellbeing through creativity, Creativity and Mental Health, Digital Participation with Families and Creative engagement with children with Autism and SEN. The afternoon opened and closed with a brief but restorative moment of mindful meditation.
Some of the many positive comments received were:-
“Great opportunity to network and share ideas”
“Inspiring”
“Informative”
“Thought-provoking”
“Great collaborative opportunities”
Thanks to all the speakers and participants who shared their practice and perspectives.
