Oooh that one's fun, it's fully inspired by this post. It's a sterek post where Stiles is frustrated as Derek carries him away after a fight that he is injured when the wolves heal and in his frustration/tired annoyance he bites Derek's neck, not realising that Derek is staring at him in shocked horror and Peter is laughing his ass off because he unknowingly gave Derek a mating bite. Stiles doesn't know what's wrong so in his tiredness he tilts his head so Derek can bite him back to 'get even' and Derek does which solidifies the bond and Stiles basically just got werewolf married by accident.

So basically I went 'yes, but what if Steter? 👀' especially because I have an 'Accidental Marriage' square on my Teen Wolf Bingo card that I had no idea what to do with and this was the perfect answer. I love this idea of Stiles just biting Peter's neck because he's tired & cranky & impulsive not knowing that he's just given Peter a mating bite, and the way it would send Peter's instincts crazy.

Ooh, fun question, I haven't thought about this for many of them. Generally speaking, my favourite/go-to animal for shifters that aren't wolves tend to be foxes or felines.

My favourite for Stiles will always be a fox. Kira's already a Kitsune, so I really enjoy her as a fox as well. Your fics are entirely at fault for me now defaulting to Chris & Allison as fox shifters as well, particularly silver foxes. I could also see Noah as a silver/black fox, but I'm leaning more towards brown bear for him.

(While fox is my favourite/go-to for Stiles, I came across ocelot while thinking about this list and now I really wanna see Stiles as an ocelot.)

Lydia would either be a lioness or a bird of prey like an owl or peregrine falcon.

I could see Braeden as a wolf or cheetah, maybe a hawk

Melissa would be a brown bear or a sea otter

Victoria would be some form of hawk or a lion

Kate's a snow leopard

Corey is a fennec fox

Mason would be a crow (I also got kinda stuck on the idea of him being a capybara lol. or a hedgehog.)

Is my bias showing if I say that Deaton would be a black mamba or coastal taipan? 🤪

Marin is a raven

I could see Hayden as a jackal, hyena, or jackrabbit

Okay, you asked for two and it would get way too long if I actually delved into both of these. So I'm gonna explain Hale Ranch here, and you can read a whole post about Bad Derek here (non-con warning for anyone wanting to check it out). Oh, and there's a short snippet included in this post too.

Now, for Hale Ranch - behold the birth of this idea:

Truly, I saw this gifset and had the sudden visceral need to have Stiles see Cowboy Peter at a distance and mutter "Damn, I'd ride him and call him Daddy". And I actually already wrote the main part of the scene:

“Daaaaamn,” Stiles whistles under his breath, eyes still slowly scanning the hunk from head to toe. He bites his lip. “You know what they say about save a horse, ride a cowboy, Scotty? I’d ride him and call him Daddy.”  Scott whips his head around and gapes at Stiles in horror.  “Stiles!” Scott hisses urgently. “He can hear you.” Stiles’s eyes go huge.  “You mean he’s a– oh dammit,” Stiles wheels around and hunches his shoulders, running a hand over his head. He stares at the ground with still-wide eyes and blazing cheeks. “Well, I’m going to go find a hole to bury myself in,” Stiles informs Scott under his breath. “Do you think the little pool they use for the duck pond game would be big enough to drown myself in, or should I just find a horse to trample me? Please tell my father I love him and make sure he doesn’t eat too much junk food when I’m gone.”

Anyway, the McCall pack is travelling to a different state to meet with the Hale Pack and decide to stop at a rodeo that's still a state or two away from their destination because the pups see the sign & beg. Since none of them have ever really been to one and they've been cooped up together in cars for so long, Scott and Stiles give in.

So Stiles sees this really hot cowboy talking to one of the barrel racers, makes the comment, embarrasses himself, and then goes to try to die in a hole somewhere. At least he'll never have to face him again, right?

Wrong. Turns out that was the Alpha's younger brother who occasionally competes in out of state rodeos/bull riding competitions, along with a few other packmates. By the time of the meeting, Peter is back and standing just behind his alpha, eyes laughing at Stiles's mortification.

The McCall pack is staying with the Hale pack on their ranch for like a week or two, so we get to see lots of shenanigans including line dancing, poker hustling, and mechanical bull riding that is decidedly not appropriate for public viewing.

There may be some general inspo from @takaraphoenix's ranch/cowboy fics.

Gonna answer this now because the answer is a solid maybe.

My instinct was to say no, because pirate AUs have just never really interested me. But the second I thought about saying no, my brain immediately went "challenge accepted" - as it does every time I say I would never write something ffs - so now it seems I'm kinda interested in the challenge.

But, if I do write it, it's definitely gonna be over 10k and I'll wanna spend time on it, time that I don't have in July because I have too many other priority fics rn.

It's really hard to just do one sentence lol. So have the first 3 sentences of one of my Stetopher week fics :D

They’re trying to kill him. Chris is sure of it. Peter and Stiles are trying to kill him.

SO! This is actually what got me into writing again in the first place! And I documented the whole saga back in February. It's actually like 5 things in one because the idea kept growing and growing, and then it branched into an entirely different idea in the form of my huge Stetopher 1-3a rewrite What Makes a Pack. But I digress.

This was my very first Teen Wolf fic idea, and it was at the tail end of me reading mostly Sterek fics, right before I fell head first into my Steter/Stetopher obsession. That's why it's got 'Other' as the pairing; it's my only Sterek fic, and I don't anticipate writing many/any other Sterek fics so it wasn't getting it's own pairing tag in the spreadsheet but 'rare' wouldn't work either.

AHFAU = Alive Hale Family AU, and it was hugely inspired by this post. It's also where my Hale OCs were born and I adore them and will continue to use them in future fics involving the Hale family. I did a lot of background work and tweaking to make the ages work, because things were shifted around for this fic to make it so Derek is actually a year or two younger than Stiles.

Basically, Stiles is the slightly older, recently graduated 'delinquent son of the Sheriff' and Derek has a massive crush on him. Most/all of Derek's family and pack (the Hale pack includes betas Erica, Boyd, and Isaac) know about Derek's crush, but most of his family didn't think it was a big deal because Stiles was barely aware of Derek's existence and Derek was sure to move on to a more suitable crush soon enough.

But then Derek and Stiles do start talking and all of a sudden this crush seems a lot more likely to turn into something real and his family have very mixed feelings about this. His parents are concerned, Cora and the betas & cousins are prepared to tease him mercilessly, Peter adores the idea, and Laura hates this with a passion. She's had a huge one-sided beef with Stiles since she joined the Sheriff's Department as a deputy because she is obsessed with catching Stiles out in some sort of trouble because she knows he's involved with things he shouldn't be/is behind a lot of trouble but can never prove it and it drives her crazy.

Meanwhile, Stiles is a spark and knows full well they are werewolves and is having a blast fucking with them. His mom was a troublemaker too and taught him a whole bunch of stuff, including picking locks and hotwiring cars, and it makes the Sheriff fondly amused. Stiles has been using his spark to investigate things and handle some supernatural things in the area without the Hale Pack having any idea about it, and that's half the reason Laura thinks he's Up To Something all the time.

A huge amount of the background of this -- including Stiles being raised to know he has a spark, the Hale family OCs, and Petopher's relationship drama -- ended up transferring over to the backstory of What Makes a Pack, with some minor tweaks (mainly of the ages again). It also created the basis for a lot of minor background details/headcanons that I include in several other fics or will include in the future. So even though I have no idea when/if I'll ever get back to this one (will depend on if I ever want to write Sterek), this was incredibly foundational to a lot of my Teen Wolf writing that's come since then.

Ooh okay, so this one came about because of a group conversation on Discord where we were discussing the way Talia treated Peter, and @kimmycup teased having an idea:

And that INSTANTLY made me curious. I mean, come on. How was I not meant to be intrigued?!

and so this happened:

and before I knew it, I had more than a page in notes that was still growing as we discussed it in the chat in one tab and I added to my doc in another in what was essentially a group brainstorming session XD

So yeah, this was the (messy) initial idea, which still sums it up fairly well:

Idea of why Talia both resents & is overprotective of Peter - she's secretly his mother, got pregnant at 15 and had him, everyone pretended they were siblings because she wasn’t ready to be a parent (esp if it wasn't a serious relationship or something semi-traumatic that led to the pregnancy). Which adds to the details of his age difference with her other kids and the relationships he has with them, AND Talia's motivation in taking his memories of Malia and giving her up for adoption, maybe wanting to ‘save’ him from what she went through, not ready to deal with it, and the teen pregnancy bringing up her own memories/trauma/complicated feelings, so she acts rashly and tries to forget it happened. She spent a lot of time trying to convince herself she really was his sister, only to end up having to raise him anyway when ‘their’ parents died. Hence their complicated and tense relationship and the complicated mix of mother/big sister relationship dynamic with him.

This turned into a semi-epistolary fic, because I decided that Peter would find out by finding his birth certificate along with Talia's old diary in a fireproof box that ended up being moved to the vault until he finally starts going through things years later. So the fic includes a lot of diary entries that chronicle the whole experience, from pre-conception until years later (because it was a big secret, when she needed to talk about it she pulled out her old diary and wrote in it instead).

There's a lot of angst (it was not consensual) and Talia struggled a lot and made some not great decisions (including never telling her husband that Peter was actually her son). There's a large focus on Talia's thoughts via her diary entries and then Peter's reactions as he's reading them many years post-fire. Also the layers that adds to the already very complicated relationship Peter has with Derek, learning that Derek is actually his brother (and Laura was his sister).

(This idea kept getting pushed from the top of my list/priorities lower and lower until now it's basically 'on hold' because once again I am nervous about not doing an angsty idea justice and thus keep putting it off >.<)
