It's litteraly the same type of ship ! But not only do they have the same base as Reylo, they are literally modeled specifically after Reylo.

It's not just the trope of light & dark / enemies to lovers romance trope which is taken up and which therefore obviously and inevitably gives rise to similarities.

There is that, yes.

But more than that, just like Reylo was heavily inspired by Revan & Bastila, Oshmir is inspired by Reylo.

Like I said : Meeting in the woods - A guy dressed all in black - who wears a helmet - red saber in hand placed under the young girl's nose - yet he doesn't attack her.

But on top of that, Qimir directly uses the musical theme of Kylo Ren / Ben Solo, instead of being entitled to his own musical theme.

So, people who say Oshmir is just a revisitation of common tropes... are mistaken (maybe good faith for some, but others are clearly bad faith).

And once again, those who always spit on Reylo while in the same time shipping openly Oshmir, are hypocrites.

You have the right to not like Reylo and liking Oshmir, is not a / the problem.

But to spit on one and elevate the other by comparing them is once again being hypocritical to me.

oshamir is fine if the girl’s name has to be first whatever but qimisha (Q initial!) would be so unique!

definitely not oshmir which sounds awkward to say out loud— and isn’t even how names work??? the root syllable of osha isn’t osh, it’s o- and -sha!

it’s the same reason why qimisha sounds better than qimsha, qim- isn’t a root syllable of qimir (qi-mir)

But as I said, beyond being a bit the same archetype of couple and therefore having inevitable similarities, what I mean is that just like Reylo exists thanks to Bastila & Revan while being his own thing, Oshmir exists thanks to Reylo while being his own thing (although for me, they should stop using the Kylo Ren / Ben Solo theme song for Qimir and just create one especially for him...)

People complain about the comparison to Reylo, but it's pretty inevitable in the end with this context.

Especially with those who allow themselves to continue to spit on Reylo to put Oshmir on a false footing.

Disliking Reylo and liking Oshmir is completely valid.

But consciously spitting on Reylo to raise Oshmir, when without Reylo, this ship would probably not exist as such, that cannot be done. It's inappropriate.

And again, I have not spoken of those who now allow themselves to spit again on the physique of Adam Driver and prize that of Massy Jacinto.

It's simply disgusting.

Also, I maintain, for me the Star Wars postlogy was very good written until the Rise of Skywalker where they decided to screw up all the character arcs built / set up in the other 2 movies.

Honestly, I'm disappointed, I thought Oshmir would be an opportunity to bring the Reylo stans and other Star Wars fans together again, and in the end, some Oshmir stans are still waging war with the Reylo stans, and I don't understand why.
