last night, my pro-palestine student group organized a palestinian cuisine event along with the local palestinian diaspora. we were also helped by friends from syria, iraq, lebanon, and egypt. it was absolutely amazing. and the food—oh my god, the best thing i’ve ever had in my life, no joke!!!!

Since this weeks theme for #aprilisforarabfood is sweets, I wanted to share a #throwback picture of my #qatayef. . . قطايف عبارة عن فطيرة مكونة من عجينة سائلة، يتم اكلها محشيةّ بالجوز أو الجبنة، تتحمر أو تنقلى وا تغطس فالقطر ويمكن تناولها نية بحشوة القشطة. هي من أشهر الحلويات العربية في رمضان، تعتبر من عادات الشهر الفضيل، يتم اكلهاا بعد الإفطار و في ناس بتحب تأكلها وقت السحور. . . Qatayef is a special dessert, commonly served during Ramadan.
