Okay no problem, but I think ranting/talking about a show you like is normal. The only issue I had with your previous Ask is all your questions were already answered several times here.

If you're still interested I summarized my answers (ETA, removed “under the cut” because I’m getting lazy newbie Anons):

1. General audience vs fandom. Jared is more popular than Jensen in the general audience because of Sam Winchester, the lead protagonist. Dean is more popular in the fandom because Sam girls also love Dean for revolving around their darling Sammy. But Dean girls don't always like Sam because he hogs most of the story arcs and the show’s focus.

2. Dean's choices "appear validated" because as the support protagonist they're not developing his character, so there's no exploration or fallout from his choices. It's why the Dean-centric season 10 was such a dud because Dean was the same character before and after the demon/Moc!Dean arc, there was no fallout for his choices and the whole exercise was pointless and pretty much never mentioned again. Sam’s past sins get dredged up while other characters get a pass is he's the one with the character development that the general audience follows.

3. Being the show's pov means squat if you’re not the protagonist or being talked about. I really wished I screenshotted the pie charts a Dean girl made before she deactivated her blog.  Her pie charts compared how much Sam and Dean were talked about by other characters from season 1 through 7 and concluded you have better luck finding a unicorn than finding characters that talked about Dean.   It's why bitter Dean stans called Dean "Alfred", referencing Batman's butler.

To quote a casual observer I found on tumblr: Sam gets the larger story arcs in the show and Dean gets more of the “silly and fun” filler episodes.

4. The "public perception" you speak of is merely the fandom's, which usually doesn't represent the general audience's perception. Fandoms are 5% of the general audience and there are rare overlaps in perceptions. One of my favorite things to do is compare the povs of fandom vs general audience. In “Beat the Devil”, Sam was killed by vampires and Dean was forced to leave his body behind in order to get the civilians to safety like he did in “Red Meat”.

No, Misha’s Q recognition and likability scores would not have changed because his tweets and social media politics have never been picked up by entertainment media like TMZ or E!News.  And if they do get picked up, while his recognition score may increase, his likability score will decrease because it might come as a shock to you but most Americans are patriotic.  In 2015, Ariana Grande’s Q score look a dismal downturn because both the public and her fans took issue with her “I hate America” outburst when she saw a tray full of donuts before licking one when the worker’s back was turned.  

Twitter’s users include a huge number of very influential figures in sports, entertainment, politics, and the media. Their tweets often make news far more so than Facebook or Instagram posts. The result is that a given tweet may reach orders of magnitude more people than an Instagram post, including millions who never sign into Twitter.  For example, Jared’s anti-Beiber tweets were picked up by MSM.  When Jared didn’t experience any backlash for those tweets, the rest of the SPN cast like Kim and Misha jumped on the anti-Beiber bandwagon and tweeted and tweeted and tweeted, desperately trying to get picked up by MSM but it never happened, they were all systematically ignored by the media.

Misha can cowbell all he wants on social media, but unless it makes the news they’re just farts in the hurricane. 

The promotions and “PR shift” has not changed either, I don’t what “shift” you’re talking about.  The Comic Con bags?  Castiel has been on the bags before, remember the infamous clown shoes?  Mark S was on the same bag and his shoes were regular size.  Misha is promoted like any regular/guest actors on a show.  Jared and Jensen are promoted in the mainstream medium like E!News,  Kelly Live, ExtraTV, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Talk because they are the leads.

Q Rating, or Q Score, refers to an advertising research rating that gauges how easily a celebrity is recognized -- and how well the celebrity is liked.

The positive Q Score is calculated by counting how many respondents answered A (one of my favorites) divided by the number of respondents answering A (one of my favorites) through F (Never heard of), and calculating the percentage. Yes, there’s math involved.

Q scores measure the character’s likeability and popularity the actors are playing so you’re half incorrect, of half correct, depending if you’re a glass half full or half empty person.  Let’s put it this way, Jared is more popular than Jensen because of Sam Winchester, and Dean is more popular in the fandom because of Sam girls.

First, this might come as a shock to you but most people (the general audience) don’t stalk follow the actor’s persona unless the actor is a super A-lister like Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise.  And even though people side-eye Cruise’s religion, his movies are still blockblusters because they like his characters and movies.  

So to answer your question (as I have done here and here and here, seriously don’t you people even read?) Jared’s high Q score is because of Sam Winchester, not because of Jared Padalecki.   Henry Shafer the VP of Marketing Enterrpise explained that “most of these high Q Scores reflect the character being played by the actor on the series.” (credit) 

It only takes one unsympathetic character role to torpedo a person’s Q score.  Judy Reyes went from playing a well-like nurse character in Scrubs to a poloarizing character Zoila Diaz on Devious Maids and the actress saw her Q score tanked because large portions of adult viewers either liking or disliking her character, with few people in the middle. The easiest way to think about Q scores is “how much would I enjoy having lunch with this person?”

In this article about TV media personality’s Q scores, the first paragraph reads “Who wants to grab a beer with David Muir? Apparently, a whole bunch of  Americans. How about a shot with Megyn Kelly? Nah, not so much”.  Trying to imagine grabbing a beer with Megyn Kelly is pretty much a “no” for me too.

Actors’ Q are based on the characters they play.  The more convincingly likeable the characters are, the higher on the Q the actors are going to score.  Sam Winchester is the boy next door, you know, that guy who doesn’t know he’s attractive looking and he wouldn’t take advantage while offering emotional support, listening to your tales of self pity woes while still being the person you can have a beer and good conversation with.  These are ideal traits that bothmen and women want in a close acquaintance.  

Dean Winchester is a ladies’ man who approaches women with confidence, and even if he gets rejected it doesn’t bother him because he knows he’s cool and the next receptive woman is just a turn away.  This confidence is what men wish they have.  It’s also what women want, for the man to make the first move.  Men want to be James Bond not for the international spy action or the thrill of hunting down terrorists, but for the lifestyle of expensive cars, fancy hotels, and travels.  In Dean’s case, it’s minus the fancy hotels but those goofy motels look alright.Just because we want to be James Bond or Dean Winchester doesn’t mean we want to do shots with them.   The thing about James Bond is that while he’ll listen to you and understand your fears, he’s not going to be empathetic or even try to rescue you because he has a job to do.  It’s why the “Who wants to grab a beer with _____” question is moot because James Bond doesn’t drink beer because it won’t get him drunk fast enough and he’s a busy man and time is of the essence; martini = all killer, no filler.  (But in Skyfall James Bond did drink the $45 million product placement Heineken.  It’s not even a very British drink!  Hey James, might as well ditch your Saville Row suits for baggy jeans and exposed boxers).  

I can easily imagine shooting the breeze with Sam, just hanging out and chilling because he gives off a non-judgy friend-zone vibe.   Sam doesn’t have a threatening presence.  With Dean it’s going to feel like a rivalry and I’m thinking he’s going to make a move on my hot girlfriend who unbeknownst to me is actually a siren who plans to make minceme at out of me and Dean was only trying to figure out if I’m also a monster that he needs to kill or not.So to wrap it up, we don’t want to be Sam but we want a Sam in our life.  We want to be Dean but we don’t necessarily want to hang out with a Dean.

In the 2014 Wrap article, Jared’s recognition score was 24, Jensen had higher recognition score of 30.  Jared’s Q score is 26 and Jensen Q score was 25, they were ranked #12 and #14 respectively.  One point difference in their Q score, no big deal, right?  Then why did the AAs tried to downplay the whole thing?  Because Jensen’s recognition score was higher than his Q (likable) score.  Is that bad?  Kind of sort of, because it means that not everybody who knows “Dean Winchester” likes him; whereas those that know “Sam Winchester” do like him.  See my personal examples above. 

Out of Gilmore Girls cast, Melissa McCarthy and Jared have the most successful post GG career.  And out of Rory’s boyfriends, Jared had the most continuous successful, visible career.  I don’t know who the blondie actor that plays Rory’s third side piece and what he has done since.  I’m sure he’s had shown up as a guest or regular on other shows I’ve watched but didn’t recognize him.  Milo found popularity on This is Us, his Q score is 28 and his ranking at 15, however his recognition score is 18.  But wait, didn’t I just say that it’s a good thing that his Q score is higher than his recognition score?  Yes, however, any recognition score below 20 is considered “less stable”.  

Unlike the Nielsen numbers that measure how many people are watching a show, Q scores measure whether viewers like what they see.  It’s why shows with low Nielsen numbers can still get renewed because the Q scores showed that people are highly emotionally bonded with the show and for some advertisers that is worth more than a show that a lot of people watch but don’t like.  Shows and actors with “unstable" recognition numbers but high Q scores tells executives, “Hey wait, this show or this actor has potential and worth another look because the general audience have strong positive feelings about them.”
