very brief summary of all the magic types:
averagism - above average intellect compared to all other people. responsible for many great inventions. previously thought to have had no magic at all, hence the name (derived from average)
wildinism - can partially or completely shapeshift into an animal. the species of animal is assigned at birth, and attempting to shift into any other kind of animal either doesn't work or results in weird chimera-esqe forms. the most common form of magic
eletism - can create and control three different elements: fire, water, and electricity. it takes years of practice to master even one element though, so people usually stick to just one or two of those three
sparticionism - can create visual illusions. very commonly used in light shows/performances, and illusions can be bottled and gifted away to others, though gifted illusions don't always last very long.
audicism - can create auditory illusions. works very similarly to sparticionism, and the two magic types are said to work hand in hand and have a very close, intertwining history with one another
polyplanism - can travel to two different dimensions: the shadow world and the dream world. they're exactly what they sound like; the shadow world is the plane our shadows exist on, so wielders essentially become shadows in this plane. and in the dream world, wielders can access peoples' dreams and travel between them.
fountenism - can see the future and, in extremely rare cases, manipulate it. this is the rarest form of magic, with very few wielders left around the world. they're the only kind of magic that doesn't get passed down genetically, but rather wielders are simply born with it, regardless of their genes
