The episode was ass, the entirety of volume two was boring and confusing, and the coming out? It was mediocre. Noah Schnapp even said it felt awkward with the whole "And me!" Thing. Im not going to change my opinion, rate that shit 1/10. That's my opinion. I didn't like the episode at all. Im not going to live in fear of executives not giving us nothing because God forbid we don't kiss their feet for giving us a mediocre and awkward coming out scene. I don't negotiate with terrorists, dude, and im not going to praise poor representation. We deserved better and I say we show our displeasure.
The fact is that homophobic people were always going to review bomb the show for being gay, good or bad. Elon would've said something else about it sucking if it was good. How do we know this? Because he does that shit all the time. He's a grifter, he probably didn't even watch the episode, he has to pay people to play video games for him to make him seem good at video games, he probably has someone else running his X/Twitter account too. Just because homophobic people are doing one thing, doesn't mean that we also can't voice our displeasure for the episode either. The episodes bad, plain and simple. That's my opinion and that's majority opinion, homophobic people or angry rants on Twitter aren't going to suddenly make me love it because it made some douchebag named Kevin mad. It's just going to frustrate me more because they made it so bad that they actually appealed to nobody.
Also, cut gate may not be true, but i genuinely don't see how it "got out of hand." They signed a petition, some random guy bought a billboard with their own money for 150 dollars. I help old and disabled people, I clean their houses, fill up their planners, help them with day to day tasks, and I just talk to them. I know someone who cannot physically move their body, only their hands and feet, and I have to wash them because they physically can not do it themselves. I know someone who is mute and has Alzheimer's so bad that they try to follow me home, they're in a home now because they ran out in the street naked and screaming. These are the lightest cases. I've seen so many people die, its not funny. I am waiting for the day I am allowed to volunteer at the hospital. I go out of my way to tell people I'm proud of them when they post of chapter, I make Google docs of media for people of things they like who feel bad and need something to cheer them up. I'm medically certified so I could help people, I have OSHA safety training so I can help people, I do everything I can to help PEOPLE.
