The first running test of the States of Matter project exploring the 3 states of water. A camera tracking the height of a melting of a block of ice; the height measurements is then used to create a frequency at the resonant frequency of the ice. When the ice melts the frequency changes with it. Once the ice melts it falls into a bowl with a hydrophone inside, using the sound of dripping water to add the second element of the 3 states. When the bowl fills the water will once again fall onto a hotplate to create the final steam element. Each of the 3 processes add a new sonic layer to the sculpture.

Stumbled on this in my music folder earlier, I don't often record my music, but this was a short ambient piece I made using a patch in Puredata a while ago, I believe over the summer. Very simple, uses a few oscillators and some sampled feedback. The point was to emulate a breathing machine.
